I started off giggling at the two "down-home" boys from South Carolina but honestly found myself rooting for them at the end; I was disappointed to see them eliminated, especially since they were such good sports.

Me too!.. At first it was hilarious because I couldn't understand a word they were saying but at the end when they got kicked off and started crying... awww, it was soo sad.

Just wondering, after the first episode, who is everyone rooting for?
Personally, I like Amber and Rob but I also like the cute brothers Greg and the other one.

I also am rooting for Rob and Amber. I just can't forget the things he did on Survivor for her....and she's from my area back home so I have to root for the home team!

I liked the Southern Guys too and was sad when they got voted off. I am not sure yet who I am rooting for. I do like Rob and Amber though..only because I saw them both on Survivor and they are nice to each other. I like the older couple as well and the brothers.

I missed the first episode. Anyone know where I can see it?

Just wondering, is anyone else as fed up with Rob and Amber as I am? I know I'm treading on toes because some of you like them but when Rob whined about the boyfriends not sharing the bus, that was the pot calling the kettle black. If their "fame" hadn't helped them, I don't really think they'd still be in the race.

Gretchen is a trooper, boy. Even with a head injury, she stuck to it.

Ray and Deana will not be missed.

Rooting for Uchenna and Joyce. Maybe if they win, they can adopt one of the kids from the home they went to.

I don't think that Rob and Amber should be hated as much. Although their fame is giving them an leg-up in the race, that doesn't mean that they're still not playing the game well. Other teams just hate them because they're strong and they won "Survivor". It's like when Brian and Greg smashed their car up in Botswana and Lynn and Alex freaked out. They made it seem like the big deal was that Rob and Amber didn't stop when clearly, the bigger deal was the crash.
If anything, Lynn and Alex seem to be the ones to blame because they're the ones fueling the arguments.

I don't know, I mean I like Rob and Amber, but Rob does seem a little bit like a spoiled brat sometimes, I mean he would have done the exact same thing that Lynn and Alex did with the taxi, but when someone did it to him he had to whine about it like it was a mortal sin to upset the "Big Team"... I mean, he really didn't have to say stuff like "Oh, so you wanna play it that huh?" when he's been playing like that all game. I still think they're a pretty strong team, but I'm no longer rooting for them too win, they've gotten too cocky. I'm actually liking the brothers more and more... those two are hilarious, some of the things they say sometimes has me rolling on the floor laughing. I felt so bad for them in the crash, they were really concerned about their injured camera man. And no kidding about Ray and Deanna... ugh, Ray is pushy and annoying like that guy Jonathan was from last season and Deanna has just absolutely no will to win. Truthfully, I'd be pretty annoyed with her too if I had taken her as my partner for the race.

Go Brothers! (or failing that, I'd have to go for either Ron and Kelly or Lynn and Alex)

I don't like Lynn and Alex, and I would be very sad if they won. Their sole mission seems to be to whine and complain about how much they hate everybody and how some people are so gosh darn MEAN! Get over it and play the game already.

That's true, but at least they play fair. One thing's playing the game and another is having absolutely no regard for other people. I think they're doing well, perhaps they don't deserve to win but meh, I don't really like any other teams other than the brothers and Lynn and Alex and Ron and Kelly.

Ron and Kelly are bland. They seem to be the only ones who haven't done anything spectacular or interesting during the whole show. With the "scenes from the next episode" at the end of episode five, they made it seem like they got into a big fight. I guess tonight's show will show how big it really is.
I'm surprised Meredith and Gretchen are still in the race. They're troopers. What was really funny was when they beat Ray and Deanna from the "Food" detour in the Botswana leg.

They are tough, but Teri and Ian came in second place in season three. They're the oldest couple to make it that far.

Bummer. The Brothers were starting to become my favorites to win, even though I started out rooting for Rob and Amber...I still root for them but I hope it's not going to be a runaway. All the teams at this point are worthy of winning in my estimation. I will miss those two guys, did anyone else besides me think they looked like Zack Braff? He could be their younger brother....

I don't know about the Zach Braff thing but they were hotties!

Teri and Ian?... well, they weren't memorable because I can't even recall them.

Teri and Ian weren't anything special. They had only a few memorable moments, they caught a fast forward in Morocco, and they high-tailed it to the finish. The unexpected winners, Zach and Flo, barely beat them out.

I have one question about Rob and Amber's wedding. Who did Rob find to help him get to the church?

Hehehe, I take it you don't like Rob's idea to have an aide. I personally think that it's a good idea, his charisma is working well, and there's nothing in the rules that states that you shouldn't have help. I say that if it's an advantage, any of the teams should do it.

I'm glad that Uchenna and Joyce and Meredith and Gretchen were first and second in Turkey though, they deserved it.

I agree, but he should give credit where credit is due. When being interviewed, he always sounds like he did it all himself. It was really funny last week when he found out they were third.

This just in. "The Amazing Race" Season 1 is possibly set for a late September release date. This is around the time at which Season 8 will premiere. Looks like we'll need to wait over the summer for the next race. :P

The Amazing Race 1 - Set officially announced!

Retail sources have sent us information on the Amazing Race season 1 set coming on September 27 (it appears our previous information was off by a week). The four disc set will include interviews with Phil Keoghan (host) and executive producers, Jerry Bruckheimer and Bertram van Munster; a special "Look Back" recap of the season, and a special "All Access Pass" feature that will branch to 90 minutes of additional material not shown on TV (it sounds as though this could be integrated info the episodes). Four audio commentaries will top it all off. Suggested retail price of the set is $39.95.

More news: The Amazing Race 7, the most recent edition, is set for release just before Christmas. At that time, the eighth season will be wrapping up on TV.
