Gees, even commercials make me cry sometimes.

There's a commercial that used to be on here...a young man calls his grandfather, to say hello from France, and Grampa wants to know if the girls in Paris are as lovely as he remembers them. Then the grandson says, No Grampa, I'm in Dieppe (obviously where Grampa and the other Canadian soldiers were nearly massacred in 1942)...I start bawling every time.

Ive cried in countless movies but the most recent one was Requiem For A Dream. That was the most depressing, disturbing movie ever. It still freaks me out and makes me sad when i think about it.

I cannot believe that I left out one of my favorite movies. Always with Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss. I watched it again tonight and cried buckets practically throughout the whole movie. Whenever I hear "their" song, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, it makes me cry.

Edited to add: This was also the final film that Audrey Hepburn made. What a classy lady and I loved her character, Hap, in this film.

The most recent movie that *almost* brought me to tears was "Of Mice and Men" the very last scene where George shoots Lennie mid-sentence and then it shows flashback scenes. Yup, I couldn't cry though, it was in class.

I agree, Clarasue. What a terrific re-make of A Guy Named Joe. It has all my favorites in it, including Audrey Hepburn in one of her most endearing roles. I love the unexpected plot twist of making them all hot dog firepilots.
One of the best scenes is when Dorinda ditches the plane in the water. As she is losing consiousness, she looks up and sees Pete waiting to take her back up to the surface. This scene always gets to me.

I cry at loads of things, especially any film or TV show that features someone giving birth. I also cry at Disney films. Even Toy Story. The saddest film I've ever seen was called Let Him Have It, which is about a real case in legal history which resulted in a man being hanged for something he didnt do. Cried til my face hurt.

So many people crying and weeping around! Makes me feel so inhuman-ish.

Anyways, I haven't ever cried watching a movie. Of course, some movies are more emotional than others...but then, what's the big deal? If you ask which was the most touching movie, that would perhaps Black(Indian) and the last few scenes of Titanic.

My Dog Skip- I always cry at the end when Skip is in the vet's office

Dances With Wolves- From where they shoot the horse (can't remember his name) and Two Socks to the end.

Almost any Disney movie makes me cry. Have you noticed that there's hardly ever both parents, and someone always dies?

I don't cry alot in movies but there have been a few times.

I cried at Titanic, Simon Birch (that was soo sad)and when I was young Paulie came out and we went and saw it at the movies. I cried for the entire movie.

I'm here to add some more.

I didn't cry during Titanic, although I admit it's the type of movie that would usually do the trick. It was too contrived to evoke that sort of emotion from me. I didn't cry during Schindler's List or Sophie's Choice, either, because those movies evoke an entirely different emotion, and the tears are burned off before they can fall.

I joke that in one day Tom Hanks made me cry twice. I've always loved him, ever since Big, but one particular day I watched both Forrest Gump and Philadelphia, and by the end of the day I'm not sure I could have cried any more.

I cried during almost the entire movie of Dead Man Walking. I have such a strong emotional reaction to that particular subject that it's almost impossible for me to watch, but the movie is so... moving. I actually could not watch Green Mile because it almost literally made me sick. If I had continued watching, I probably would have been.

There are lots of movies I cry during, for stupid reasons and because I'm often overly emotional about things. (Hey, at least I know this about myself and can admit it.) But then there are movies like Philadelphia and Dead Man Walking that are so astoundingly evocative that I can't hold back.

All my life my father has told me that I cry too easily, so it's no surprise that I have cried through many films.
Some of the offenders that are at the top of the list are 'Beaches', 'Steel Magnolias', 'Terms of Endearment', 'Stepmom', and 'Mask'. Even though some of those are obviously trying to provoke tears, it's hard for me to hold them back.
'Sophie's Choice' absolutely destroyed me the two times I watched it. Now that I am the mother of both a girl and a boy, I could never watch that again.
The first time I watched 'Schindler's List' I walked around like a zombie for three days, literally bumping into furniture. I don't think I've ever seen a more powerful movie.
I also cry at happy movies, where someone achieves a goal thought o be unobtainable - although no titles jump to mind right now.

I hardly ever cry (except for real life funerals), but the only movie that's made me cry is Donnie Darko, fantastic song, great sacrifice, brilliant movie.

I cry at the end of most "chick flicks", e.g. Pretty Woman, Love Actually, Notting Hill, While You Were Sleeping.

Then there are movies like ET where somebody (almost) dies. No matter how often I see that film, I cry every single time.

I cry at good-bye scenes as well (again ET springs to mind).

The last movie I saw that really had me in tears was "The Weddingsinger" (Sandler and Barrymore). The ending where they are on the plane and Robbie starts singing "I wanna grow old with you", that was just too much. Oh no, I can feel the tears coming again..

It NEVER fails. Every Christmas. "It's A Wonderful Life", streams and streams of tears. Which is why last Christmas, when they ran a Borders ad that showed different people in different places quoting their favorite movies, I cried on a commercial!(which is not new to me)Because at the end, a dad was quoting "It's A Wonderful Life" to his daughters ( in a Jimmy Stewart voice, no less) "Merry Christmas, Mr. Potter! Merry Christmas, old Building and Loan! Merry Christmas..." The dad trails off like he's forgotten the line. Then the Borders logo pops up, and you hear a little girl whispering "Bedford Falls." *sniff,sniff...sob* Oh, I hope they show that commercial again this year because you know I loved every minute of it.

There's heaps more but I can't think of them...

Well me personally "The Wizard of Oz", but the whole family (me, Mum and Dad) can't watch "It's a wonderful Life" all the way through!

Oh and I forgot, we watched Four Weddings and a Funeral last night, and the poem at the funeral had both my husband and me blubbing. But that doesn't get me every time, just most!

Is it weird that I got misty-eyed on the opening credits of "It's A Wonderful Life"? It is? Yeah, I thought so.

The scene in The Patriot where the youngest daughter runs after Mel and says she would say anything if he wouldn't leave - killer.
Field of Dreams - where he and his dad have a catch, and they shake hands, weeping.

Of course, the Dirty Dozen has several scenes that leave me in tears.

There is more than one.

Forrest Gump when Jenny dies and he is at her grave and he is talking to her.

Ladder 49.

Old Yellar.

Unleashed, at the end when the woman plays the song that the guy's mother used to play.

etc.
