I would like to export my bookmarks from Netscape 7.0 to Internet Explorer 6.0...How would I go about doing this?

On Netscape, if I go to Manage Bookmarks, in Tools there is an option called 'export' . After clicking on this, where would I export the bookmarks file to (for putting into IE)?

In windows 98, bookmarks are usually stored in c:\windows\favorites .. try copying them into there.

If your directory structure is different, try this - open IE, add a website to Favorites, name it Testing456 (or anything else that's unique), save it in Favorites, then use Explore to find where (whch directory) windows stored that file.

I found it, gth04. The IE bookmarks were located in C:\Documents and Settings\my name\favorites.

I did what you said, by adding a website to IE Favorites but I didn't use Explorer to find it. Instead, I opened up the Favorites in IE, right-clicked the website and went to properties. This showed me the location, then I used Explorer and went to the location and there it was!

In INternet Explorer, you can also click on File -> Import/Export and it should take you through how to move your Netscape bookmarks to IE.
