I have copied and pasted my quiz history into Excel but the numbers (scores) automatically change into a different format, dates. For example, my Funtrivia score on a quiz might be 7 / 10 but Excel turns this into 7-Oct.
How do I stop this from happening?

If you type a space before entering ' 7/10', it will return a fraction.

Alternatively, if you put your score in column A, and the total quiz questions in Column B, then put a 'divide' function in C, it will express it as a decimal. Eg

Col A = 6
Col B = 15
Col C = A1/B1= 0.4

I would go for the second method, as you can then add all columns and get a total performance figure.

While I'm at it I'll ask another Excel question. This one is seemingly different but has been causing me some annoyance.

When I press ctrl-end I would like to get to the last cell that has writing in it. This is cell number 1327. But before, because I pasted things in all the way to cells 3000+, when I press ctrl-end this is where it takes me. I've deleted what I had in the 3000+ cells and as there is nothing there now, this is no longer the end of the document. How can I make cell 1327 the end of the document so when I press ctrl-end it will take me to cell 1327 and not the later, empty cells of 3000+?

I hope that made sense.

It took a while, but I stumbled across an answer for you.

If you delete the info from cell X1327 onwards, and then save and reopen, Excel will set X1327 as the last cell. Ctrl-end will then work properly.

This was not from the Help menu, but I discovered it by accident!

Thanks again Ozzz! You are truly an Excel expert, accident or not! I think so anyway. And we mustn't forget, the greatest of inventions were discovered by accident.
