I've played the clarinet for 4 years with my school band. I like playing, and have gotten tired of what my school has to offer. I was wandering if anyone here can post some really excellent pieces for the clarinet (without accompaniment) or just some of their favorites. Also, if someone could tell me a good place to get sheet music I would be very grateful. Thank You.

Its nice to hear that you are enjoying playing your clarinet so much! I have a couple of suggestions I hope might help. First, I would encourage you to continue to play in the school band since that is what I consider to be a different and very important part of becoming a well-rounded musician. I would also suggest finding a qualified professional clarinet teacher to give you some private lessons, so you can learn some of the finer points of playing the clarinet and that person will also be a good resource for solo material. A couple of good web sites for finding sheet music are www.jwpepper.com and www.windmusicplus.com. You might also do a search on "clarinet music" and see what you come up with.

Good Luck!

I just thought of one more thing (not sure why I didn't think of it in the first place!). If you have a music store in your area that has a good selection of sheet music, there is usually someone there that can point you in the right direction, too. There are a number of books available with different styles of solos, and some come with pre-recorded accompaniments.
