First of all, I am thanking everyone who posts any answer related to this topic ahead of time, lol.
I am trying to find the name of the group/band/singers of the remake of Norman Greenbaum's song, "Spirit in the Sky". I want to say it came out in the early 80s, or maybe even the early 90s.
I know a few people have "re-made" it, but I can't seem to find this one particular re-make.
I don't recall much about the music video. I'm sure I am wrong on this, but I want to say in the video, the lead singer sort of looked like Brandon Lee in "The Crow", lol.
Again, it's been at least a decade since this was released, so I might be off a bit, if not completely.
Any help will be so much appreciated!
Thanks!
NalaMarie

Also a group call The Cheaters had a minor hit with before Dr & the Medics. In fact their version was better!

It was also covered by Gareth Gates for Comic Relief last year, he was accompanied by the fabulous Sanjeev Bhaskar (mmmmmmmmm) and Meera Syal and the other two actors from "The Kumars at Number 42". Wonderful stuff...Sanjeev's sitar solo
