Yesterday I returned to my computer after a break of about an hour, moved the mouse to restore from the black sleep screen and saw a screen which made me gasp. It was like the vertical hold had gone, it was madly scrolling a bright, pale, multi coloured nothing screen downwards while pink waves spread horizontally. The mouse did nothing to halt the chaotic screen so I pressed the reboot and it seemed to work normally from then on. I took off the present screensaver in case it was that and put a Windows XP one on instead.

What on earth could that have been? I felt it might be monitor based. Today I am letting the computer power down periodically to see if it happens again. If it does, what then? Help!

All seems to be well again so far. Perhaps it was too much LSD?

Sounds like it had a hiccup in the graphics department. Best ignored unless it does it again I'd say.
