The RIAA filed a lawsuit against a woman who died in December 2004. They told the woman's daughter that they were filing a suit and the daughter sent a fax of the woman's death certificate. The music industry still filed the suit, even after that "incriminating piece" of evidence. They later said "We will now, of course, obviously dismiss this case." Why file it in the first place when you know she is dead?
