I can't explain to you lot just how good this all is. I'm 34 years old and in all my life my team (Balmain at the time) made the grandfinal twice, losing both times (oh the tragedy) and that was in the late 80's.

Now, this may hurt. I've been a Parramatta supporter all my life, except for one year. Despite being 5km from Parramatta, the suburb I grew up in was in the Balmain Junior League. In a misguided moment, I decided I should barrack for my Junior League team. Copago, can you guess which year that was?

Sorry, Kevin, didn't see your message - I'll have a guess at 83? Think we were wooden spooon that year ... or not far from it.

St George aren't a shoe in. Pffft. Although they get the two points for the bye they can't improve their differential which if the Tigers have a good game, which they will (oh god, please!!!) they might even jump over the dragons. ow good would that be???

Very kind of you Jill, but I'm a bit older than that. Does Balmain 11 - Souths 2, sound familiar?

very familiar. sadly I wasn't around then but you chose a good year (why oh why couldn't I have been born two years earlier?!?). Through a question set by Gtho on here I got to meet Syd Williams who scored the try that game.

Thought you meant that year you supported Balmain they came last and parra up the top

No, I've been lucky enough to support Parra through all of their ups and downs. It would have been great meeting Syd Williams. In my young days I met (briefly) Len Kileen and Peter Bolton and in later years Keith Barnes. My father had many an argument with Kevin Humphries, who prior to being an infamous CEO of NSWRL was the boss of Balmian.

KNow off Kevin well - this has been a life long obsession lol. Keith Barnes came to my grandfathers funeral many years ago (through working with my aunt) it was hard not getting pretty excited about that in such a sombre occasion.

Let's throw a few ifs around ... please, humour me here.

Now, broncos lost last night, dragons have the bye, if the eels lose (Raisers have beaten them last 4 times) and the Tigers win by more than 9 points do you know where that will put the Tigers? ANyone want to have a guess? Oh alright - I'll tell you.

FIRST ...

I have everything crossed.

For those that do not know what Copago is talking about, the flash-in-a-pan Tigers got a touchup from Melbourne Storm, 34-22.

I tipped the Tigers.. that is the last time I listen to you!

Flash in the pan. LOL

Touch up. DOuble LOL

Ozzz tipped the Tigers. Triple LOL.

I hope everyone stops listening to me and starts picking against them. SO this was a little hiccup but granted I'll be the only one picking up the tipping points.

How weird is it going straight from a live footabll game and scitching over to live cricket. Seasons don't mean anything anymore lol

Poor poor Davjack.....so far out of the four games different that I had pick...3 have been in my favour. Sydney, Warriors & Melbourne !!

All I need now is for the stupid bunny rabbits to lay down and let the cowboys kill them !!

Interesting things happening at the top of the tipping ladder. I think there may be 3 equal leaders as of tonight.

no way, it'll be a draw

Quote:

Parramatta and Brisbane belt themselves into submisison, it finishes a draw after extra time, and St George win on Sunday to be crowned minor premiers .. you little ripper!

Just so long as the (*&^$% storm get beat and Tigers get a "home"* final

*"home" as in Telstra - so we can get some big game experience you know. Got nothing to do with money. Course not.

As long as Canberra beat Manly, and Roosters beat the Bulldogs, I am not worried about the top of the ladder. We will try to be the first team to win from eighth spot...
