Hmmm

The St.George/Illawarra thing is mostly in George's head. OK - they are my local team - BUT - I am a Maroon Cane Toad born and bred. If the Broncos didn't get up then I'm gunning for the Cowboys!!

I think you need to anchor your striped little paws firmly to the ground until you have something to actually roar about!

Have spent the arvo at Balmain Leagues and walking around Rozelle and Balmain - black and gold everywhere and a really nice atmosphere. Everyone is just happy to be there if you get me.

On to the game - Pat Richards passed a fitness test today, not sure if he's been named in the team though, seems a bit risky if the ankle won't hold up the entire match. WOuld be heartbreaking for him if he doesn't play - he's put tso much into the season.

Just about to head out to the stadium - will be a long afternoon waiting for kickoff. Beautiful day though - glorious clear blue skies and expected temperature of 29*.

*Deep breath*

Up the Tigers.

It doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!!!!!

Tigers 30 - North Queensland 16 and this is the greatest day of my life!!!!!

Was there the whole day and everything went so smoothly - the cowboys fans were great and more of them than I expected - some fun banter and they gave us congratulations and we gave them commiserations. Had a quick fun meet up with George at half time which was great too

Can't say the first half was great play but thanks to a major mistake by NQ (passing in the in goal?!?!) we got a handy lead and the best try of the season started with a break from Marshall and Pat Richards who a week ago couldn't walk raced away, palmed off a cowboy and scored in the corner. YES YES YES. Brilliant stuff!!!!!!!!!! And, for me anywy, it was the best ending to the best season of football I've ever seen.

I have more celbrating to do so UP THE TIGERS!!! and I can now die happy

Nannanut that is a risky statement, she will no doubt be wanting more than a lemonade!

I am delighted for you Jillian.

Don't worry Sue,

I am fully aware of this girl's drinking habits. I only promised the first round!

Gee, only one brag so far, that must be one hell of a celebration you're on Jill. I guess you didn't have reason to sing that song!

LOL - it's still trying to sink in. Thirty four years (for me) of torment are now over and now that all the hype has gone down I can't help but wonder what is next?

On the Monday we went to Leichhardt Oval and all the players (well the ones that could still stand up) came out and did some meeting and greeting to about 5000 fans. THe fans and the players were all lapping it up, much cheering and celebrating still going on but you could tell that the players were buggered - well and truely. It had been a pretty big night afterall. It was rumoured that Todd Payton was still on the bus and couldn't get off

My son asked me this morning where my Tigers shirt was - realized it was the first day I haven't worn something with the Tigers emblem on it.

Awww - Sue, Nanna - I'm a good girl these days. No, really! lol

On news tonight that he was suffering depression and "notes were left for family members". I'll believe this one when it becomes official but still such a horrible thought.

And Craig Gower was fine one hundred thousand dollars and stripped of his captaincy of Penrith for being a drunk idiot. Yowsers. I love it when they say that "so and so will be brought before the board to explain his actions". In this case what's Gower going to say? "I was drunk, I was an idiot"

That is terrible news about Sludge- probably one of the best centres in the game. As you say, the cause of death is not yet confirmed, but I am hoping that the press have it wrong.

And about time someone got serious on these idiots that think they are beyond the law. I admire the Panther's board for their tough stand.
