Excellent.

TT, I hope you are not having the same problem as me, my skin is now too big! I have gone wrinkly.

Now that is where I am not losing weight! I have wrinkly arms, legs, neck and bum! Even my poor face is suffering, I didn't used to have any wrinkles.

I hope your skin is shrinking too, unlike mine! That is a huge loss, take care.

Really really pleased with myself this week not one pound but a two pound loss! Ten stone two pounds I'm about 5 foot, and if I could get to about nine stone, I could "flutter" between nie stone and nine and a half. And I am determained to do it too...might take me a few months but it will all be worth it in the end!

I've finally managed to hit my target of 12 st 9 lb (177 lb or 80.3 kg). The really hard part is going to be staying at that weight from now on.

Missed it! I am 11.3 this afternoon (Monday) and that is after a jolly good lunch in hosptial! (What do you mean by saying hospital food is yuck? I had a delicious trout lunchtime and had I not been thrown out I was to have had Parma ham then roast lamb for dinner!)

I am now on diurectics and am also eating once more so heaven only knows what will happen with the weight.

10.13 so have broken the barrier!

So that is...

10 stone 13 pounds which is 153 pounds or 69.7 kilos from...
13 stone 4 lbs (186 pounds or 84.3681808 kilograms)

I had already lost about 10 pounds from Christmas so am just over 3 stone down or 42 pounds or 19 kilos.

It shows!

Well done Tom, that is brilliant to have reached target weight. Now it a question of working out how much to eat and drink without changing weight.

Keep checking in.

Well...before my weight a little story! In August 2003, I was diagnosed with borderline diabetes and was told if I didn't lose some weight and cut down, I would have to inject myself every day. The next day I weighed myself...13 stone and probably had been a lot more. Now, 20 months later I am now Ten stone and feeling a lot better with myself. Long may it continue!

Jane, congratulations. I have type II diabetes and even that isn't fun. If only I had known much earlier it might have been easier to keep my weight within limits.

OK this week I have GAINED weight! Panic not, I am not, in fact I am quite pleased in one way as my appetite has returned after all those weeks. It is good to be able to actually cook and eat once more instead or pushing down a sandwich. 11 stone 1 pound, a 2 pound gain. Now I need to keep it steady and lay off the pastry which has been my downfall this week. Mind you, the chicken fillet with the layer of pork pate, wrapped in puff pastry and eaten with mashed potatoes and gravy was probably worth the gain!

Well done, Jane – and I'm glad to hear you've got your appetite back, Sue.

Two weeks after coming off my crash diet, I'm still 12 st 9 lb – no gain or loss and no real withdrawal symptoms, so maybe this time I'll manage to stay at my target weight.

10.13 this week so back down - it looks as if I am more or less steady just now but give me time! Apprently it is normal for me to lose my appetite after this surgery - deep joy, I have only just got it back.

Don't expect me to check in for the next few weeks, surgery is on Thursday.

Hey what do you know, I have just calculated my BMI (body mass index) and am no longer officially classified as obese! I am now just overweight.

To calculate your BMI you take your weight in kilos then divide this by your height in metric squared.

Grade of obesity BMI Description
0 .................... 20-24 Desirable weight
1 .................... 25-29 Overweight
2 .................... 30-39 Obese
3 .................... 40+ Morbidly obese
