Greetings. I just have a quick question. I sumbited my quiz a while ago, and the editor sent it back, informing me that my interesting information didn't inform. So I fixed it up and re-submitted my quiz. I have been waiting two weeks (which is fine and normal). My problem is, how long do you wait until you should wonder if there is something wrong with your submition; that maybe the editors can't get to it. The reason I ask is becuase the first quiz I submitted on this website wasn't looked at by an editor for over two months, compared to my second quiz which only took a few days to be checked by an editor. I need to know how long is too long to wait for my quiz to be checked?

Quizzes do not sit in the queues for 2 months (either now, or in the past).

The quiz which you have in the queue at the moment was submitted on Jan 23rd. You resubmitted it again on the 24th, and then again on the 25th. You the switched from hit the resubmit button to reasaving -- over the following days you resaved it, and then resaved it again. The last time you resaved it was on February 3rd. What you are doing by resubmitting / resaving is creating a new submission -- your quiz is a Feb 3rd submision, not a Jan 23rd submission; it has been in the queue for 5 days, not 16 days.

Thank you.

After you submit the quiz to the editors, there is a message at the bottom of the screen that says that it is fine to work on the quiz after it was submitted. I didn't realize that each time you worked on it, it was re-submited.

geez, is that still there! I thought it went a few years ago when the queues were rigged by Terry .. another item for his to-do list.

Oh, yes it is still there. There is also a message if you work on a quiz that has been submitted that says that the writer and the editor could be canceling each other out.

I think that's the message that appears at the top of the edit screen when someone else is editing that same quiz at that same moment. With the red "warning" thingie.

I agree with Leau. It's a useful warning for editors, so that two of us don't send notes on the same quiz if we're both working at the same time.

That message is visible to authors?!
I thought it was cookie related; visible only to editors as part of our edit function.

It's visible to players also.

It's kind of useful however - one is usually happy to see it because it means that you will get to know the fate of your quiz in some time (especially in those categories where the waiting list is 4+ days)
