When Charles becomes king, she won't be queen but Princess Consort Camilla.

"The wedding will be a civil ceremony, which will be followed by a service of prayer and dedication in St George's Chapel at which the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, will preside. "

We had four hours of this on BBCTV . Yawn. I can't imagine the fuss and hype between now and April. To me this is utter non news, and why they have to go on and on about it I will never know.

I am mystified as to why Charles never stood up to his mother in the beginning, and married Parker-Bowles. Instead, he coldly married Diana with no intention of trying to be even a passable husband. Diana could've married somebody real and might be alive today.

Diana's sons are though, after Charles, next in line to the throne - and Andrew may even become the next king! Only time will tell.

I would have thought it most unlikely that Andrew will ever be king, even if Charles stepped aside something would need to happen to the two princes before Andrew gets a look in.

Does this mean that when meeting her people have to curtsey now?

Only women I hope. I look ridiculous when I curtsey.

Isn't it about time we rounded up Charles, Camilla and the rest of this ridiculous family, and put them in a museum where they all obviously belong.

I hope they are happy and that their union hastens the day Australia becomes a republic.

Not just Australia - it could hasten the day that Britain becomes a republic - or maybe several republics!

Apparently, the Queen won't be present at the civil ceremony, but will be present at the church blessing afterwards.

Didn't Henry VIII settle this dispute? He was divorced and remarried... Or maybe the problem is that Camilla is also divorced.

it is a well documented fact that he was a second husband for one of his wives and he was a third husband for another wife.

His desire for a divorce led to the split wih Rome and the beginning of the Protestant church in England.
IPSO FACTO, THE HEAD OF KINGDOM IS ALSO HEAD OF THE CHURCH

There is a difference between 'not single' and 'divorced or widowed'. 'Not single' implies bigamy, and I wondered if it was that you were suggesting. Please don't take offence and 'shout' back your response in capitals - I'm only chatting and curious as to what precisely you mean.

You know the way the Queen Mother was and how the Queens looking, Elizabeth still has 22 years to go until shes the same age her mother was when she died. So in 22 years that would make Charles 79... Pleanty enough time for him to err, you know... make William the heir to the throne.

Latest issue - looks like the late great JPII's funeral might coincide with the wedding and thus take away some 'dignitaries' from the various ceremonies. If it were any other occasion I'm sure the Archbishop of Canterbury could make his excuses and claim a prior engagement, but apparently he would go to Rome if there was a clash. And before anyone says it, yes I know Rowan is CofE, but this is one of those occasions when religion isn't really the issue.

I'm getting married on Friday too, but luckily being several hours ahead our guests won't be compromised. We're nipping over the boarder to the Courthouse to do the deed, and I still think Charles and Camilla should avoid all the fuss by popping up to Gretna Green. Charles looks so cute in a kilt!!
