I have to tape Survivor to watch later and usually get CSI as well, so I was sweating bullets hoping my tape didn't cut off before tribal council was over. CSI looked pretty good too, but I'd have been really unhappy if I didn't get all of Survivor. I hated to see Steph go. I thought she was really on to something with the women's alliance but then I'm not sure whether or not Caryn's blabbing to Tom wasn't just her way of insuring that Steph was voted out. I think Tom is the one now that doesn't seem to be thinking things out. Keeping Steph in his court, and maybe trying to break up the Greg and Jenn thing, would have been more advantageous to his game at this point. He's probably next to go.

Yeah, exactly.

And what was up with that weird Tom speech he pulled out of his pocket last episode. "I just don't think it's fair that you guys vote me out because I'm strong and I've been winning immunity challenges". What the heck was that? Hadn't he just said at the tribal council that this was survivor and that it was every man for himself. I think he was trying the Steph card and playing on people's pity or something... boy did that backfire for him, all they did was laugh at him after.

I was very sad to see Steph voted off. I actually cried a little! But at least she was more accepting of it this time (as compared to the episode before this one) and she knew that she had gone as far as she could. She should be very proud of herself!

I guess I will pull for Ian now. He's so cute! And I got a little upset with Jeff Probst telling Ian how bad he smelled. Doesn't everybody smell bad out there? And did he have to be so rude about it? You know, I am starting to get really tired of him. I think his "fame" has gone to his head and he thinks he's such a hot shot.

I am disappointed that Stephenie is gone, yet people like Jenn and Katie are still there.

Looks like Gregg got his butt bitten. I fell asleep halfway through the show last night - but that seems a shocker. He was a pretty good player. Is it just me or is this the dullest Survivor yet? I don't give a lick about any of them at this point. Gregg didn't even get his 14 minutes of fame this morning on CBS.

Actually, I think this is one of the better Survivors in a long time! Last season was incredibly boring, and I won't even mention All-Stars. I think this has been a really great cast, and the dynamics have been very interesting.

I am SO glad that Gregg is gone! Yay! Finally, people got smart. If Gregg and Jenn had been allowed to go on, those two definitely would have made it to the final two. Do we really need another Rob and Amber?

What did everyone think of Gregg asking Jenn's permission to put out her flame during the reward challenge? Can anyone say "whipped"?

Oh my god, I'm laughing my butt off here. That is so true! I think I'm going for Ian or Tom now, 'cause I can't stand Caryn, Katie or Jenn. See Jenn's face when Gregg got kicked off... man, the evil laugh that came out of my mouth at that moment was straight out of some Disney flick... Bwahaaahaha

Yikes! Now I'm getting really familiar with the Koror tribe. For weeks I was wrapped up in Ulong. Gotta pay attention to the losers wobble, after all. I'm thinking they should rename this show "Boys Vs. Girls In Remote Places"! I hate all that. I really thought, for a moment or two, that Ian might go tonight. I suppose it would be OK to speed off with keys to a Corvette but I'm glad he didn't get ousted. That Caryn was -um- a female dog, so to speak. "Shoot the messenger"? Give me a break. The show perked up my interest tonight. Now I'm thinking about who to root for, which is what we mice are supposed to do. Ian is the one I'd sit down and knock off a beer with (comfy). Jenn is the one I'd pretty much spray Lysol on . I guess that makes her the frontrunner.

Speaking of female dogs...

Caryn never knew when to keep her mouth shut, and why she would rat on everyone's strategy at Tribal Council is beyond me. Survivor is ultimately a singular game and instead of weighing what options were best for her, she blabbed everything to Tom as soon as she could get him out of earshot. And when pressed for an answer, she was a terrible liar. Maybe that's an attribute, although she's supposed to be a lawyer but it won't help you win Survivor. Ian is getting tangled up in promises he can't keep, and Katie turning on the waterworks was sickeningly precious. She didn't think twice leaving him out and sidling up with Gregg and Jenn. My money is on Tom. I think he has led through the game physically and strategically. I hope he can pull it off.

I was hoping Ian would win, but I can't believe how stupid he was with the reward challenge. He and Tom agreed that if the winner was to take somebody with them, they wouldn't take each other, so the three women wouldn't be left alone to scheme against them. So what does he do? takes Tom with him!

I didn't understand why Ian did that either. And it wasn't the brightest move on the planet. Who knows why he did it!

Katie is so annoying! She's so melodramatic. And if she doesn't get her way, she cries! Boo hoo!

You know, I was actually starting to like Caryn, and then she blew it with her Tribal Council behavior. What was up with that? It made her look SO bitter! And it certainly bit her in the butt! What was she thinking?

I'm for Ian all the way!

Okay, so Ian didn't win. But Tom was a good second choice!

What thought does anyone have? Ah, it was great seeing Katie get trashed at Tribal Council! Sweet revenge! How does ridiculing people constantly and not even caring if they hear you count as a "sense of humor"?

Does anyone know who voted for who at the last Tribal Council? I'm talking about who voted for whom to win. I can't find this anywhere!

As he only pulled out one vote for Katie (Coby) I would assume that was the only one.

I thought Tom was a deserving winner.

I also think that Katie got only one vote, but I was wondering if maybe there were other votes for Katie, but they weren't read as Tom's 4 winning votes had already been read, making the rest of the votes a moot point.

In my opinion, Katie shouldn't have gotten any votes!

Argh! I missed the finale - I thought we had another week to go. So Tom won it? He deserved to, as I really looked back at how I felt at the start of Palau. And I'm guessing Katie came in second? What happened to Ian? I can't find a decent recap of events (all CBS.com says is that Tom won and nothing more). Crap. I missed the reunion show, too. And the jury questions (did Coby and Caryn behave themselves?). More questions than sources at the moment. Maybe one of you kind lot will fill me in...

It isn't up yet but televisionwithoutpity.com is good for recaps, Gats - I'll let you know - usually doesn't take long. I'm waiting for it myself - my stupid station showed the part up until Tom was hugging his family then cut it off and went to Rove Live without saying anything. Then they showed the get together late that night! Grrrr.

They were all pretty hard on Katie, saying how lazy she was in camp and generally how she didn't deserve to be there. She apologized for the way she mistreated people by saying she was sorry they didn't understand her sense of humour. That didn't cut it with most of them. Janu asked her why she should vote for her and rather than offer any reason, Katie said she didn't expect Janu's vote. She said going into the game her strategy was to align herself with two of the strongest players, so I guess if that was actually true, then it worked. I'm wondering why a person who quit (Janu) would be allowed to participate on the jury at all. Seems to me, they should forfeit that right when they drop out of the game, except in the case of a medical injury or family emergency.
