Silly Lilly we must have simliar birth dates Mine were: "Saving all my love for you" -Whitney Houston (UK) and "Say You Say Me" - Lionel Richie (US) "Merry Christmas Everyone" was a HUGE hit here in the UK, It's still played every Christmas! My lifes theme tunes are: (UK) "Changes Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne (I prefer the original but cool OZZY ) and (US)"Hey Ya" - Outcast, I hope I never have to listen to that song ever again in my life!

*sigh* Mine was the theme from S'Express. I'm so ashamed. My life song is even worse. '**** It - I Don't Want You Back' by Eamon...

My birthday song is 'Brass in Pocket' by The Pretenders. That's not too bad. Theme song is apparently 'All Around the World' by Oasis. Yuuuurgh.

Ren, I enjoyed reading your list. Not just because there were some real quality big band tunes but also because, thank God, it proves there's someone here older than me <g>. If you ever want to hear a great vocal version of The Breeze & I, try to locate one by The Flamingoes (either online or on their Flamingo Serenade album on End). Sorry, I have no link

"Who Can It Be Now?" by Men at Work (UK) "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth (US) ... oh my goodness! OK, so I knew that the 80s were an era you either love or hate (from a musical point of view), but I always thought that some songs were good, some were bad. However... "Pass the Dutchie"??? That's about the worst song I've ever heard... I don't think I know the other song, but still... Couldn't it have been some Bon Jovi or so? Hmmm... maybe I should be glad that it wasn't Culture Club

I knew the UK No.1's but not the US ....
Birthday: UK: San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair) - Scott McKenzie US: All You Need Is Love - Beatles (obviously explains why i'm not a hippy!)
"Life Theme": UK: Into The Groove - Madonna US: Shout - Tears For Fears (hmmmmmm don't think so ....)
overall not the worst 4 songs ever ....

I didn't like mine:
Wooden Heart - Elvis (UK)
Blue Moon - Marcels (US)
So I tried my 18th birthday which were:
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor (UK)
Tragedy - Bee Gees (US)
which were both in the film Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, so I don't know what that says about me, so I tried my 21st birthday whioch resulted in:
Seven Days - The Goombay Dance Band (UK) WHAT!?
I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett and the Blackheads (US)

I haven't seen this website yet but I used to have a book of these lists and I think the song for the week of my birth was "Wedding Bell Blues" - kind of a strange song to be number one for that year, but I was born before Woodstock! I guess if I'd been born any other week it would have been a more hip tune...Now let's see if I was right....

Ok, maybe I'm thick, but is there any way to access this information without having to pay for a membership? If there is, I can't figure it out.

Thanks cinnamon...although I have to say I'm disppointed. I've never heard of either of them. In the States Number 1 was 'Hot Diggity', by Perry Como, and in the UK it was 'No Other Love' by Ronnie.
