I'm going to post Round 4 way early. I'm tied up for tomorrow. Ugh. Tomorrow is today. But, anyway, here we go:
My favorite day is Oscar Day (which happened last Sunday). Let's get those out of the way first.
1. Name an African American who has won an Oscar for their acting roles. Their ranks built by two this year. And I say "Yay!".
2. Name an actress who has won two (at least) Academy Awards for acting. [That one built this year, too.] Any category is all right.
3. In June 1972 5 men were arrested as they were caught robbing the Watergate Building in the U.S. The fallout of it was huge but we'll get to the details later. Who was one of those 5?
4. The Woodstock Festival sorta got going as it went in 1969. Nobody was quite sure how it would go. On the last day of it (Sunday August 17 1969) name a musical act that was scheduled that day, not necessarily the one that performed. Just a proposed one.
5. Name something you make with pears.
Good luck everyone! I have an extra few hours to look at all answers. Have a good time. See you Sunday.

ROUND 6 RESULTS Nine people played this time. Thank you all! 1 A team competing in the 2005 Formula 1 seasonWorth 10 points: BAR (Jenson Button, Takuma Sato), Toyota (Ralf Schumacher, Jarno Trulli) Worth 5 points: Minardi (Christijan Albers, Patrick Friesacher)(3), Red Bull Racing (David Coulthard, Christian Klien)(2), Sauber (Felipe Massa, Jacques Villeneuve)(2) Not mentioned: Ferrari (Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello), Renault (Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella), Williams (Nick Heidfeld, Mark Webber), McLaren (Juan Pablo Montoya, Kimi Raikkonen), Jordan (Narain Karthikeyan, Tiago Monteiro) 2 A community in Ontario, Canada with telephone area code 70510 points for everyone for this one! The places named were: Bobcaygeon, Haliburton, Kapuskasing, Kirkland Lake, North Bay, Orillia, Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury and Wawa There were many others that could also have been mentioned! 3 One of the five Oscars won by the film ‘The Aviator’Worth 10 points: Art Direction (Dante Ferretti, Francesca LoSchiavo-set decorator) Worth 5 points: Cinematography (Robert Richardson)(3), Film Editing (Thelma Schoonmaker)(3), Costume Design (Sandy Powell)(2) Nobody mentioned Supporting Actress (Cate Blanchett) 4 A Spanish word for any article of clothingWorth 10 points: Bufanda (scarf), chaleco (waistcoat), corbata (necktie), Jersey (Jersey), medias (stockings), sombrero (hat), sosten (bra) Worth 5 points: Guante(s)(glove(s))(2) I nearly did not allow ‘Jersey’, but as some translation software does produce ‘Jersey’ for this item, I accepted it. (Never heard a Spaniard use it, though! ) 5 A recipient of the Victoria Cross whose initials are the same, and fall between M and the end of the alphabetWorth 10 points: Michael Magner (Drummer, 33rd Regt., Abyssinia 1868), Montague Moore (2nd Lt., Hampshire Regt., Belgium, 1917), Michael Murphy (Farrier, Military Train, India, 1858), Richhpal Ram (Subadar, 6th Rajputana Rifles, Indian Army, Eritrea, 1941), Same (John) Shaw (Private, Rifle Brigade, India, 1858)*, William Waring (Lance-Sergeant, The Royal Welch Fusiliers, France, 1918), Wilfred Wood (Private, The Northumberland Fusiliers, Italy, 1918) Worth 5 points: Reginald Roy Rattey (Corporal, 25th Battalion, Australian Military Forces, Solomon Islands, 1945) *It has always been my contention that this man’s name is Samuel, base on the Victorian abbreviation for the name, which is Sam with a tiny ‘l’ written up high after the ‘m’. The loop of the small ‘l’ could easily be mistaken for an ‘e’. There were several not mentioned, including two named William Williams, two Robert Ryders and Patrick Porteous (T/Captain, Royal Artillery, Dieppe, 1942). And the winners are: With 45 points each, cinnam0n, Exit10, Mugaboo40 points: ElfTwinkle, littlewoman2, Santana2002 35 points: bracklaman, gatsby722 30 points: ozzz2002 Congratulations to winners cinnam0n, Exit and Mugaboo!
