My current bottom-rated quiz is one I did about song lyrics mentioning Romeo and Juliet. With a rating of 3.61 (not good, but not awful either), it sits at (almost) position number 51,000 in the rankings as of the time of this post.

Here's the "problem" though. Its category ("who sang this" in music) only lists three pages of quizzes. So, so far as I know, the quiz is inaccessible, unless it turns up in someone's search results, or unless someone is viewing a list of my quizzes.

So how does a quiz get out of this purgatorial state? I would think that most people either play new quizzes, which it's not, or play all the quizzes they can see in a category they like.

This is very odd. I can't see the quiz either, even on Gold Member pages.
So, I moved it to Lyrics Mixture, to see if the problem is with the category, and it can't be seen there either.

I am presuming the problem is not with my specific quiz, but instead with any quiz that is part of a large category. I only looked at a few big categories, but I think all display only three pages of quizzes.

The quiz is on this page, ranked #167:
http://www.funtrivia.com/quizzes/music/lyrics_mixture/who_sang_this_151.html

Editors and Gold Members can't see that page (151 to 180), as the links at the bottom only list the first 3 pages (quizzes 1 to 90), whereas the cached view (the "normal view") will allow players to progress through all quizzes in the category, from 1 to 249, by clicking on the link at the bottom: "Next 30". I'm not sure what's happened/happening .. and I'm not sure if the differences between the "cached view" and the "live view" are by design, or are a quirk in the coding. We need Terry's input, as he's the only one who'd know.

Interestingly, the 3-page-link at the bottom is the same as the limit at the bottom of the Newest Quizzes list .. what's needed is the dual-link-list at the bottom of the author page, example, where the pages are numbered (beyond 3), and the "Next 30" link is there as well.

George, I can see up to 300 of the newest quizzes newest page 10, and I am also a gold member. I'm confused as to why you can only see 90. I know in category pages, I can only get to 90. Terry, please help.

Edited to add page 10 of newest quizzes.

I have a question related to this too. I posted a quiz last week but it only shows in the new quizzes list and not in its category (Sports - Soccer - South America - Argentina)
Why is this? Does it take a while for quizzes to be moved from the new list to its category??
I would gladly appreciate an answer since probably i'm asking because i'm new.

Thank you,

Ceci

Your quiz is showing up in its category for Gold Members, ceci. (I just checked, and it is there.) Quiz lists take longer to refresh for non-Gold Members, but you should be able to find your quiz in its proper 'home' before too long.
