If I was to write a quiz about a band e.g. Black Label Society, but call them BLS (as a lot of their fans do when refering to them) is this allowed or would I have to write out the whole name everytime?

When I wrote my quiz on The Replacements, I was allowed to use The 'Mats, which is a common nickname for the band. I've seen Guns N' Roses called GNR as well. I know, I'm not an editor and can't offer a specific yes or no, but I have seen it done.

I'm sure they'll appreciate that very much!

lol, with a bit of luck, I always make a silly mistake on quizzes somewhere despite using a spell checker and re-reading it on a seperate day(or at least a few hours differnt) to when I finish it, and they always come back <sighs> lol

Abbreviations are generally OK, as long as your quiz title makes it clear what the quiz is about. If you get a question in the Daily Quiz and can see that the quiz title is "Guns N Roses Lyrics," and get the questions "What was GNR's second album?" you'll know what GNR stands for. But if the title is "The Best Metal Band Ever!" the question may not make sense in isolation.

Ok thank you, It's called Black Label Society Lyrics so it should be ok, providing it gets accepted lol As I'm sure you're aware crisw my spellings not good at the best of times and thats with a spell checker
[edited to add]
I hope it does get put online though as I spent hours looking for interesting information for it! As previously I only knew the songs, I even learnt more about the band myself, and their rating in my opinion has gone up significantly
