A friend has my old computer which, when I had it, always asked what I wanted to do with an email attachment, ie Open, or Save to Disk. This option seems now to have disappeared and attachments just open on double clicking.

I have tried going into Tools, Options, Advanced and making sure the prompt box is ticked. Also made sure Do Not Save Encrypted to Disk is also unchecked (as advised on net).

Run out of ideas now. Does anyone know how to restore this prompt box?

If you open the email and move the mouse over the attached file you should be able right click your mouse and open a menu that will allow you to save the file to disk.
