Please name one of them.Worth 10 points: Cleared for Take Off, Great Meadow, A Particular Friendship Worth 5 points: An Orderly Man (2), A Short Walk from Harrod’s (2) Although ‘Great Meadow’ and ‘A Particular Friendship’ aren’t always classed as autobiographies, they deal with aspects of Bogarde’s life, and were therefore acceptable. Not mentioned: ‘A Postillion Struck by Lightning’, ‘Snakes and Ladders’, and ‘Backcloth’ 2 Name a FunTrivia quiz author with 200 or more quizzes online.Worth 10 points: Flem-ish (289 quizzes), minch (443), Nightmare (587 and growing) Worth 5 points: Vermic (3)(283 quizzes) Not accepted: kyleisalive, who falls just short of 200 with 194 quizzes. Please name one in which his character served in the Royal Navy.Worth 10 points: ‘Above Us the Waves’ (1955, as Cmdr. Other possible answers: ‘Morning Departure’ (1950, aka ‘Operation Disaster’), ‘The Valiant’ (1962) Trivia: Shorty Blake’s baby boy, seen briefly near the end of ‘In Which We Serve’, was played by Sir John’s daughter Juliet, then only a few months old. 4 Please name a community in Ontario, Canada that has exactly the same name as a community in England.Well, this one was more difficult than I expected. At least one place given as an answer I could not find in England (even in my ‘Complete’ Atlas of Britain), yet it can be found online – though could possibly be being confused with a place with a very similar name. Some answers weren’t exactly the same in the two places…In the end I accepted all of the answers, and everyone who gave an answer got 10 points! Worth 10 points: Brantford, Kingston, Salford, Sandwich West, Stroud, Windsor One person gave no answer to this question. Other possibilities: London, Stratford (given that I decided not to go for ‘exact’ names), Cambridge, Peterborough, and many others 5 Name a recipient of the Victoria Cross for an action that took place in the month of May, in any year. Worth 10 points: Gaje Ghale (Havildar, 5th Gurkha Rifles, Burma, 25th May 1943), Albert Jacka (Lance-Corporal, 14th Bn (Victoria), Australian Imperial Force, Gallipoli, 19th/20th May 1915), Kamal Ram (Sepoy, 8th Punjab Regt., Indian Army, Italy, 12th May 1944), Harry Lyster (Lieut., 72nd Bengal Native Infantry, Indian Army, India, 23 May 1858), John Mackey (Corporal, 2/3rd Pioneer Bn, Australian Military Forces, Tarakan, 12th May 1945, posthumous), Keith Payne (Warrant Officer II, Australian Army Training Team, Vietnam, Vietnam, 24th May 1969) Not accepted: Captain M.K. A suggestion, if I may? Feel free to throw it out as unnecessary, or whatever, it's only an idea of mine.
I have found that the longer I leave a round open the more entrants I get. I was wondering if other players would be willing to leave their rounds open for (for example) a week, before closing. That gives players time to complete several rounds at once, if that suits them, and to submit their answers at their leisure. The host would still only have to post the round once and results once in each fortnightly period.
Personally I can no longer guarantee having the time to play every day, but still wish to participate as much as possible. This way of working the game would work better for me.
Again, I'm only one player and if everyone else is happy with things as they are then that's fine. I will continue to play as and when time permits me.

I don't know how many of you have had to sift through 7 or 17 or 847 responses on these. It's time consuming! But fun. I don't know - I'm thinking that if you run a little late then that's that. No one is going to shoot you in the face if you do. Unless you ask about "Playmates Of The Year", that is, since I learned my lesson there. Yikes! But I think we're OK as it is. Miss a round? Life'll go on. Just my opinion on this one. And, also, Santana - we all adore you! So if you get plugged up no one will flinch a bit.

I'm leaving Round 5 open for most of the day as I've only heard from 5 people so far. You guys are letting me off too easy ! Oh, and Exit10 - I still calculate the answers I get on paper . Just your basic old dinosaur here. But your way sounds much quicker.
