Round 5 Results!
Finally ! Sorry about the delay...
One Of The Top 7 On BBC'S '50 Things To Do Before You Die'
Turns out there are a couple of these lists (the two I saw had one rather general list and another that was pretty regional). At any rate all answers were valid.
For 10 points:
Take a trip on the Orient Express, Drive over the Suspension Bridge at night in a Rolls Royce, Scuba dive on The Great Barrier Reef.
For 5 points:
Fly/ride in a hot air balloon(2), Swim with dolphins(2), Go whale watching(2).
One Of The 4 Students Killed At Kent State University On May 4, 1970
For 10 points:
William K. Schroeder
For 5 points:
Alison Krause(2), Jeffrey Glenn Miller(3), Sandra Scheuer(3).
What a blight on Ohio history! I remember the day very well. A deadly mixture of events. The riots were mostly incited by non-student anti-war types, the students killed were far away from the main force of the crowd, etc. It was a no win situation for anyone there that day, involved or not.
An Actress Who Has Played Lois Lane In Any Version Of A "Superman" Movie
For 10 points: Nina Kaczorowski (in World's Finest" [2004]), Phyllis Coates.
For 5 points:
Noell Neill (11 Features overall)(2),Margot Kidder(5).
Also accepted would have been Joan Alexander (a woman who voiced the character in animated films some 50 years ago), Kate Bosworth (although the film is currently shooting) & Sheeri Rappaport.
A Volcano On Mars
LOTS more of these than I realized!
Everybody got 10 points:
Tyrrhena Patera, Albor Tholus, Apollinarus Patera, Tharsis Tholus, Olympus Mons, Hecates Tholus, Elysium Mons, Biblis Patera, Jovis Tholus.
Something/Anything That Bugs You About PM Tony Blair
Interesting answers here and I only asked this one because I really don't know a whole lot about him. He doesn't get nearly as much attention here in The States as Thatcher did.
For 10 points:
Nothing, His smarmy smile, His pink shirts, His hypocrisy, The mere fact that he's a politician, His deliberate misrepresentations [which I consider a bit different than hypocrisy - but maybe not so much...], his initials (tuberculosis and all).
For 5 points:
His voice/accent(2)
9 players this Round and an excellent showing by all:
cinnamOn, ElfTwinkle, littlewoman2, Mugaboo, spanishliz --- all 40 points!
ozzz2002, ren33, Santana2002 --- all 35 points!
Kuu --- 30 points!
Points to our 5 winners and thanks everyone for joining in.

Round 7 Results
11 people participated this round
1. A Horse that ran in the Kentucky Derby 10: Afleet Alex, Bandini, Bellamy Road, Buzzard's Bay, Sort it Out, Sun King, Wilco 5: Closing Argument (2), Don't get Mad (2) Not mentioned: 11 others, including 50-1 longshot and eventual winner Giacomo
2. A Dr. Seuss title containing a rhyming word 10: "The Cat in the Hat", "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back", "Daisy-Head Mayzie", "Fox in Socks", "Hop on Pop", "Mister Brown Can Moo, Can You"?, "The Tough Coughs as He Ploughs the Dough", "There's a Wocket in my Pocket", "Yertle the Turtle" 5: "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" (2 people)
Like Lewis Carroll, Seuss was quite willing to go beyond the limitations of merely using words that already existed before his books were written (like "Wocket"). Words such as cough/tough/plough/dough rhyme visually on paper, but not aurally, earning them the name "eye rhymes".
3. A woman mentioned in "We Didn't Start the Fire" 10: Princess Grace, Queen Elizabeth II ("England's Got a New Queen") 5: Brigitte Bardot(3), Marilyn Monroe(2), Sally Ride (4) Not mentioned: Doris Day, Ethel Rosenberg ("Rosenbergs")
I threw in the line about couples and profession to make it so there were two more acceptible answers, but it probably created more trouble then it was worth. Sorry to anyone who was confused
4. A nation bordering Poland 10: Belarus, Ukraine 5: Germany (4), Lithuania (3), Russia (2) Not mentioned: Czech Republic, Slovakia
The repeat of round 6 was entirely unintentional, but from the scoring it seems people did change their answers up a bit.
5. A 3+ letter word formed from Kevin 10: Ike, nek (a mountain pass, especially in South Africa), vie 5: ink, kine (both the plural of cow and a type of television tube, though the etymology doesn't seem related), Nike (Greek goddess of victory), vein (2 apiece) Not mentioned: ken, kin, and vine, among others.
Several people capitalized on my not limiting the choices to exclude proper nouns.
Total Scores 40: Exit10, Santana2002 35: Bracklaman, Cinnam0n, ElfTwinkle, Gatsby722, littlewoman2, ozzz2002, preacher79, ren33 30: Mugaboo
Congrats to Exit10 and Santana2002, and thanks to all who participated!

As Much as I hate to correct someone who's been generous enough to give me maximum points - but Ayr race course is in Scotland.
