Can't play news video clips on the BBC site in Firefox, only in IE. I have updated Java and hunted around permissions in Firefox with no result, but thought I would post here just in case someone else encountered and overcame this.

The BBC player comes up, loads, buffers etc and then the pointer moves rapidly across and says it is Done. In IE it plays normally....

If you are using the Adblock extension, try turning it off (Tools > Adblock > Preferences > untick 'Enable Adblock').

Well that fixed it - so simple if you know how! Many thanks TW as usual.

The answer was found by pure trial and error. The videos wouldn't play for me either. I noticed the Adblock tabs in a couple of places on the Window, so tried disabling the extension. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked
