Yeah, timezones can be a little bit of an issue. Anyway, I'm not a total newbie. I've been a member of the main site since January 2002. Only just managed to get onto the forum, though. Looks good now I'm here, though.

Hello from next door Flynn, good to see you found us eventually. Am I alone or does the term 'shwmae' confuse everyone else as well? I'm actually considering posting it as a q. in Ask Funtrivia...

Hello and welcome - check out the guideline threads in most of the forums and give a yell if there is anything you need to know.

Shwmae is the phonetic and familiar way of asking "How are you?" in Welsh. It is pronounced 'Shoe my". Just in case you ever need it. Oh, and, Flynn - Rwy'n da iawn, diolch - a ti? (Response meaning I'm fine, thank you, and how are you?)

My Welsh doesn't extend that far any more. All I can remember is Shwmae and sut dy'ch chi. Oh, and road signs. Araf, and all.
