Preface: Every time I come to these boards I realize how nice everyone here is...

I'm a co-administer at a forum which resides on an ezboard website. Well, day before yesterday some nice person decided to launch an internet attack on the boards. More than 9000 forums disappeared or went wacky! Unable to post, community chest funds disappearing, all posts disappearing, etc. The owners are working nonstop to try to put things to right, restoring from backups, etc, but there are continuing problems. Seems a lot of info has been actually erased and not everything is retrievable. Thank goodness they don't store credit info or anything of a personal nature.
I feel so sorry for those poor owners.

Anyway, I know this could happen anywhere, but it sure makes me feel good that the worst that happens here is a few overheated discussions!

I had heard that ezboard had problems, I feel really sorry for them, it must be awful to be targetted by such lunatics. So have the funds actually gone or is it just the records of the funds? Hopefully they can restore most of the information soon.
