It really would save a lot of time for both editors and quiz authors if players would please read the intro and all the blurbs for a quiz before sending a correction.

Please bear in mind that when a question from one of your quizzes gets pulled for a daily, hourly or private tournament quiz, the player does not have access to the intro and all the blurbs. That is why each question must stand on its own. You may have to repeat some of the same information over the course of a quiz in order for every question to make sense by itself.
If you have questions on some of your quizzes which will not make sense to a player without the intro, they need to be updated so that they do.

What McGruff said, especially if you are getting a lot of corrections on the same question. They are probably being generated from people playing the random quizzes, and adding something to the question itself is the solution.

I'm actually talking about players who take a quiz and send corrections without bothering to read the blurbs--they don't give the quiz author an opportunity to explain the answer. I assume I'm not the only quiz author who gets corrections because the player doesn't read the blurbs.

I have received "corrections" from players who didn't read the additional information, either. This is particularly unfortunate in those cases where the quiz author has taken the trouble to explain why an answer that is likely to surprise some players is in fact correct.
