In an attempt to build up to the standard required to solve George's 'Brain of the Internet' question, I thought we could have a go at our own to get our little grey cells into gear. I'll start us off with an easy one, and because this one's also a mneumonic I can tell you that I've used the initial letters of each word. R O Y G B I ? Whats the next letter in the chain? As you solve it add another question underneath. We'll have our grubby little mits on that £20.00 by Christmas George!!! ![[Big Grin]](images/icons/laugh.gif)

You've got it Linda, the colours of the visible spectrum of rainbows.
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet
or Richard of York gave battle in vain
Who's got another one for us?

And, because I'm going to be in and out of the forums for the next few days and may not see the responses to this thread, I'm going to defer my question to the very next person that sees this thread.

Baby boomer here; the clue did it, thanks George. Next letters are:
D, C, S
Americans who have walked on the moon:
Armstrong, Aldrin, Conrad, Bean, Shepherd, Mitchell, Scott, Irwin, Young and Duke, Cernan, Schmitt
Can't think of a new one immediately, and I must go out now. Somebody else jump in with the next, please. [ 05-14-2002, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: spanishliz ]

I'm going to be away from the computer for a few days, so I won't be able to check back in here.
If need be, someone can do an "in between" question until I come back.

The last two would be B and D (Bashful and Dopey or Doc). [ 05-14-2002, 04:33 PM: Message edited by: makebeleaffan ]

Before you take your turn Jazz, please put the rest of us out of our misery.

Jazz is correct. They are the positions on a baseball diamond- rightfield, centerfield, leftfield, thirdbase, shortstop, secondbase, firstbase... and as Jazz pointed out the 2 remaining are c and p for catcher and pitcher. Jazz you're up!
