I think it must be AB for Alexander Borodin. The other members of "The Five" were Balakirev, Cui, Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov.
Nice one, Pia.

Sorry, Izzi. I hadn't forgotten; I'm just finding it harder to come up with reasonable challenges.
Let's try:
V, M, NH, M, C, ?

Tom, that's perfectly understandable. What I'm finding difficult is coming up with any answers at all, let alone 'reasonable' ones. I take my hat off to the few of you who regularly solve these. I remember remarking many moons ago that with a little mental excercise one of us would have our grubby little mits on the £20 for solving George's 'Brain of the Internet' comp. Some of you are in with a chance, anyway!!!

I think it must be BI, S, H.
The world's largest islands in descending order:- Greenland, New Guinea, Borneo, Madagascar, Baffin Island, Sumatra, Honshu, Great Britain.

I think the missing letter is a T....
Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, Composite and Tuscan, the five orders of classical architecture.

HG of B, S of Z, T of A, C of R, L of A, ......
Find the missing two. It's a group, no sequence.

I think some of these things may be known by more than one name, but I'll say.
T of M (tomb of Mausolus - or possibly M of H for Mausoleum of Halicarnassus)
GP of G (Great Pyramid of Giza (or Cheops, or simply Great Pyramid of Egypt)
The other wonders of the ancient world were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the statue of Zeus (at Olympia), the temple of Artemis (at Ephesus), the Colossus of Rhodes and the lighthouse of Alexandria.

You're right, Tom! I was having difficulties finding conclusive names as well, so I figured the two wonders having the most names had to be the missing ones...

Thanks Tom, I've had a few turns already so perhaps one of our newer members would care to jump in and set a poser for us.
