Being that this is my favorite band and I'm of the age that I saw Pink Floyd live back in the 70's, I was totally captivated by this performance. For them to sound this good after not playing together for 24 years is amazing. I'm not afraid to admit that my eyes were less than dry before it was over. When the time comes I can now die in peace.

Who’d want to follow Robbie Williams on stage? The Who nailed it, they were brilliant. I was a bit nervous for Pink Floyd, it’s been some time, but I need not have been. Gilmour, while not looking the best was just his fluent, melodic self and had lost nothing in the vocals. Waters sounded like crap but looked brilliant and was obviously elated to be on stage again.

They are one of the best groups of all time, there’s no doubt. So good to see them live again. A fitting way to close off a remarkable concert.

GOSTEELERS, had you been there, you could have gone ahead and bought the farm after the Nassau Coliseum 'The Wall' concert in February of '80. To me, it was unsurpassable. Glad to hear they've resolved whatever they had to do to get it back together.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I wept like a child, I started to sniffle when Roger Waters dedicated "Wish You Were Here" to dear Syd and dissolved into tears completely when they stood with their arms around each other at the end. In a way I'm glad they're not reforming although I have to say they sounded awesome considering it's 20 odd years since they played together but that one moment will stay with me forever.

By the way, whilst waiting in the hairdressers a weeks or so ago I read a very interesting article. Contrary to popular belief it wasn't Bob Geldof who persuaded Dave Gilmour to do it, he told Geldof emphatically no. Roger Waters asked Geldof what "old Grumpy" was saying and asked for his phone number. Two weeks later Bob Geldof picked up the phone to hear Gilmour say "oh alright then!!"
