Good to 'see' you, Joe and Dave. Scary times.

Amazing how quickly calm seems to have been restored.

Stunned about what happened, but very pleased to know the people from here are all okay.

I am pleased everyone is ok.
Words can not express how loathsome I feel those people that did this are.

My thoughts and prayers have been with the people of London and especially our English FunTrivia friends. It is good to see some of you have let us know you are okay. I am still worried about Miaow (aka Amberg), although I don't think she has visited FT for a while so we may not hear from her. Am also very worried about our dear JaneMarple.

She's ok MG as we had word from her this morning. She was anxious but ok. She does work in London so it was a concern.

My son works in central London, just round the corner from where the bus blast was. His normal route into work is on the Piccadilly line through Russell Square and Kings Cross at around 8.50am. I finally managed to get hold of him at around 7.30pm last night. Luckily, his girlfriend wasn't very well so he was late leaving for work.I had a very fraught few hours trying to get in touch.

Yes all, I'm fine. I live nowhere near London. But it is so scary how people can attack anywhere in the world

It is in North Cheam, Jane, but I suppose it depends on whether they needed more beds. I think I will email Vicky and see.

I'm relived to see that, as it seems, none of you was hurt in the explosions. I was a little bit afraid, as I knew that some of you live or work in London.

Germany is thinking of Britain these days, and I'm sure we'll support and help you wherever possible. You'll get by, I'm sure.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I mean it. Despite the fact that it's beginning to sound a little bit trite, it's the best, and most honest, thing I can think of right now.

Very glad to have gone to the Cricket yesterday (even better for beating Australia) rather than work - at Euston.

Took ages for texts to be returned from mates in and around the city because of the volume doing similar. One guy would've been at Liverpool St but for his dentist running late ....

Sorry I didn't specify which 'she' but I knew JaneMarple wasn't near London and had heard that Miaow was ok earlier yesterday.
As it was late, I didn't think before I typed.

I'm so glad that everyone is checking in to let us know they're ok. I woke up this morning wondering about Sue knowing she was in London.

I almost said that they're not people, but animals, but that would be a terrible insult to animals. They are scum. Worse than scum.

God bless all of you. My prayers are with you this day.

I've been holding off addressing this whole thing. The news over here got real intensive about it last night and this morning. It makes me sick, just no other word. I saw those faces again (those expressions are NOT geographical). The confusion, the fear. Dreadful.

I'm glad our FT friends are safe. But I want to give my heart to the victims of all of this. The ripple effect is large.

It's a sad thing thats happened in London. However a gatsby said the ripple effect is huge. All the busses and trains are being reguallry scanned for bombs, Birmingham was evacuated last night due to another bomb scare two suspicious packets were lying around fortunatly they wern't bombs I think there has also been a bomb scare up here in Manchester. Its a nervewracking time. As Tony Blair said, The If was always a When and the When was 7th July. Lets hope thats the only time.

We're just getting news reports of more explosions in London today - at Oval, Shepherd's Bush and Warren Street Underground stations and on a bus in Hackney Road. These seem to have been minor: there is only one casualty reported (at Warren Street) and this may have been due to panic rather than the explosion itself.

Oh god! I hope they find out what happened, and hope that all from FT were nowhere near there....And thankfully there seem to have no casualities.

Crazy stuff. ANd who knows what to make of it? Copy cats? People with no idea what they were doing? People with every idea of what they were doing? THose just testing out what they could and couldn't get away with? (that one was mentioned on the radio this morning)

All I know is that each and every person on those carriages and the bus should be buying themselves a lottery ticket today.

Ah well. In view of what happened in London (at Stockwell Underground Station) this morning it looks as if the police have been ordered (?) to shoot to kill when confronting suspected suicide terrorists.

So. Is that a good thing or not? I suppose until the first totally innocent person gets shot it's not such a bad tactic. My thought was for these suicide bombers - that their families would be put in gaol for their crimes. I know I know there are civil liberties group redy to pounce on me but it might make these suicide bombers think twice.

BBC was reporting witness statements that there were about 20 plainclothes police who just 'appeared' out of nowhere, suggesting that he was being followed. There were also witness reports that there were wires protruding from the clothes he was wearing (which was a large, bulky coat despite the heat).

Also from BBC, a street in NW London was shut down while a house was searched (the homeowner across the street where police had set up a command post said they had told her there was a possible bomb across the street). Down the street a little at an internet cafe, two woman and a child/youth were 'taken into police custody', although the last reports I heard made it sound like these three people were residents of the house that was being searched and because the women were so agitated, they were taken from the scene for medical attention, but not to be arrested. Witnesses were saying the police seemed more interested in the child/youth, which makes sense because with the two women being extremely agitated, tons of police swarming the area, the police would probably be wanting to make sure the kid was ok and not getting upset too much.
