I'm not too fond of Leonardo DiCaprio either but that's only because of rumors that he freaked out when an extra on one of his movies asked for his autograph. Supposedly, she started crying and Cameron Diaz comforted her. (Aww.) But who's to know how true that is?
As for Hilary Duff, she is a very mediocre(sp)actress. In a interview with People magazine, she told them that when she tried out for "Lizzie McGuire" the director told her to take acting lessons....so, apparently, she must not have listened very well in those lessons. And how did she still get the job?? The mind boggles. I'm sure I'm a TEN TIMES worse actress than she is but I'm not getting paid millions to be horrible at something.
Lindsay Lohan? She's an OK actress but her off-screen behavior annoys me. (Especially her snotty attitude in an episode of Punk'd)
Kirsten Dunst used to get on my nerves BIG TIME. (I have no idea why) But I can tolerate her now.

I absolutely hate Hugh Grant. All he does is bat his eyes. I'd love to get paid all that money to do that.

I dislike Sean Penn. He seems to tackle every role as though it was an oscar contender. Way too intense. I also dislike non-actresses Pam Anderson & Paris Hilton. Also on my list is Ben Affleck, Keanu Reeves, Dennis Farina.

First, I don't even KNOW some of the actors/actresses mentioned here, that's how disinterested I am in whatever it is they do!
Second, I almost totally agree with the choices of "Sinned," except for Dennis Farina.
Third, There will never again be actors as during the "Golden Age of Hollywood." Cary Grant, Bette Davis, Clark Gable, Carole Lombard, Jean Harlow, Marilyn Monroe, James Stewart, Gregory Peck, et al. Now THOSE people were true stars, not the mediocre, self-aggrandizing dingbats so popular today.
Why don't we begin a thread about those entertainers that we love?

Aw, I heart Jimmy Stewart! My dream destination is the Jimmy Stewart Museum in Pennslyvania.... Anyway, I agree that Julia Roberts is over-rated. (And WAY over-paid)

I really don't like Jack Black. Johnny Depp isn't very good either.
That's quite interesting. I absolutely love Johnny Depp, because he plays very different characters, and all his performances are really convincing. There are of course some of his films that I don't like too much, but his performance is always great. (Just my personal opinion.)
Some of the actors/ actresses I don't like at all are Nicholas Cage, Leonardo Di Caprio, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck. I think they are very stiff and without emotions in their performances.

I can't stand Anne Heche. I don't know if it's the whole Steve Martin, Ellen Degeneres thing or if it's just her in general but I avoid watching anything with her in it. She is just too far out there for me to see beyond her face. I have to admit that I do love the movie Bowfinger even though the female lead (played by Heather Graham) is based on Anne. I also don't like Heather Graham, but that's probably because of the Heche association.
I also can't tolerate Rosie Perez for obvious reasons.

Sean Penn,Susan Saradin,Telly Savalis,Kathy Bates,Joe Pesci,Cher,Quentin Tarantino,Jeff Goldblum,Michael Douglas,Bette Davis,Robin Williams,Ben Kingsley,the star of "The Full Monty",Stallone,Dustin Hoffman,Hugh Grant,Richard Gere,Shelly Winters,Kevin Kline,Ben Afflek,Wesley Snipes,Beau Bridges,Val Kilmer,Richard Dreyfuss, and Madonna.
There are probably another 100 names I could post here but the ones listed above are the ones I find most offensive to look at and the ones that if they are in a movie I cannot watch it [unless it`s a war movie]. Gene Hackman was a close call but I can sometimes watch something he`s in. Tom Cruise isn`t on the list but he`s close.
There is also a list of "eye candy actresses" that just look nice and don`t act that could be added here but for the life of me I can`t recall any of their names.

I have to agree about Hugh Grant. I simply cannot understand what is supposed to be appealing about a man whose method of acting consists entirely of blinking and looking confused.

Some of my dislikes include Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton, Sylvester Stallone, Richard Gere, Woody Harrelson, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller.
I saw the recent version of "House of Wax" with Paris Hilton recently because my daughter hired it from the video shop. If you are thinking about hiring it, don't bother. What a waste of time and money. The only good bit was where Paris gets it. The original version with Vincent Price leaves it for dead (no pun intended).

One I cannot watch is George Clooney. At first he was alright, but now I've seen him on the talk shows and know that he's a phony mean person. Same goes for Jennifer Anniston .. actually not a nice person and definitely not America's Sweetheart. Too bad actors have to appear outside of their movies; once you see the real them it's hard to see them any other way.
Russel Crowe is cool!
I like movies with people we don't know in them. That way there's no bias from previous movies. Some actors and actresses are used way too much to the point that their characters become unbelievable, but Hollywood thinks the popularity of the actor is more important than the story itself. So far I still love Dakota Fanning but I'm afraid they're going to over do her also.

I can't believe that you judge Clooney and Anniston as not nice people, but consider Russell Crowe to be cool when he's got a nasty temper, and isn't afraid to use it. What he did to Meg Ryan was downright mean, but that does not compare to what he did to that poor guy he hit with the phone. How come you don't have trouble not 'seeing him any other way'?

We can only go by our experiences and I haven't seen that side of Russell Crowe. Maybe I like him a little less now. I have heard George Clooney and Anniston try to hurt people that disagree with their anti-American views on the world and do it in a very vulgar way. Why do actors think their views are any more relevant than mine or yours? I like what Laura Ingraham said about Hollywood: "Shut up and sing!" I really don't care what their political views are; I just want to know them as characters in movies. When I go to my dentist he doesn't burden me with his worldly views; but if he did at least I'd have a chance to reply.
