Oh, boy, it's that dreaded time of the year again for kids in my part of the world... and me too :::groan:::


1. Tell me your MOST favourite subject while you were in school.

2. Tell me your LEAST favourite subject while you were in school.

3. Give me a type of school club that a student might join.

4. Tell me a place a teacher might take students for a class field trip.

5. Give me a letter grade that a student might receive on a term paper. (using the A to D & F grading system with + and -, for example a B+)

Please give:

1. A country in the EU which uses the Euro as its currency.

Answers worth 10 points: Art, English, German, History, Physics, Gym/Phys Ed., Calculus, Russian, Literature, Ancient History

Answers worth 5 points: Math[2]

Some not mentioned: Religion, French, Biology (my personal favourite ) and many others.



Question 2: Tell me your LEAST favourite subject while you were in school.

Answers worth 10 points: Geography, Bible Studies, Economics, Calculus*

Answers worth 5 points: Math[2], Gym/Phys Ed[2], Chemistry[2], Physics[2]

*Although Calculus is technically a branch of math, I allowed it as a 10 point answer because it is a big enough branch of math to be usually seen as a separate course from the branches bunched together.

Some not mentioned: Politics, Law, Computers and many others.



Question 3: Give me a type of school club that a student might join.

Answers worth 10 points: All answers! Country Dancing club, School Band, Table Tennis club, Ski club, Chess club, Archery club, Outdoors club, Literary Guild/club, Pep club, Camogie club, Drama club, Choir club

My round again! It sneaked up on me this week. I've been so busy at work lately!

Round 9:

1. Bob Denver passed away earlier this week. Name a TV show in which he starred as a regular character.

2. Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy was born on September 9, 1828. Name one of his novels or novellas.

3. Queen Victoria is the longest-reigning monarch in Great Britain's history. Name one of her nine children.

4. Name a famous writer, actor, or musician born in the state of Alabama.

5. The historic Springer Opera House in Columbus, Georgia, is the official state theatre of Georgia. Name one of the seven plays/musicals in the theatre's 2005-2006 season.

Just to add to the 'sturdy parade' (I have never heard that expression, either, Exit), here are the Round 8 results.
