Ok, as long as you let me run to Sayid. *sigh*

Just so both of you know, Sawyer and Sayid are both MINE, and neither one of you can have them!

BTW: Where are all our other Losties, Dakota? *gasp* Have The Others taken them??

Yeah, I think the Others got me for a while. They made me work swing shifts I've been downloading the episodes off iTunes and been keeping up though since LOST's hiatus (for the most part). I think I took a week or so more than the show did, but now I'm back caught up.

I liked Eko's backstory; it was a neat show. It just goes to show you (again) that even the quiet ones that seem to have innocence can have a "dark side".

I'm not too sure what to think about Charlie. This last ep. really threw me for a loop. I'm wondering if he is doing the heroin again. I mean, all the shots of him just looking at it makes me think he's forcing himself not to do the drugs, but then how do you explain the vivid dreams? It's possible the island is doing something to him, but that would be a first that it does weird things in dreams or daydreams. I just don't know what to think. It's going to be hard to trust him, but then part of me thinks that we still can.

About Aaron, remember in Season 1, the psychic was telling Claire something about the baby being in danger, wasn't it? And that Claire had to give the baby away? Maybe Claire will be forced to choose danger or giving Aaron up to the Others for some strange reason. I could be way off. This is just off the top of my head.

As always, can't wait for the new episode!

In season one, in the episode "Raised By Another", Claire wanted to give the baby up for adoption, but the psychic was adamant that she not give the baby up, that she alone must raise the child because danger surrounds the child; he said the baby must be reaised by her alone because the baby needs her protection.

Claire was still adamant about giving the baby up, and went as far as going to a lawyer's office with prospective adoptive parents, but the pens wouldn't write and she had second thoughts.

The psychic called her and told her he had an idea. When she went to his house, he told her that according to what he has forseen, a couple in Los Angeles could raise the baby and he gave Claire a plane ticket and told her she *must* be on that flight.

Claire realised, with Charlie's help, that the psychic knew/forsaw that Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 was going to crash on a uninhabitated island, where she would have no choice but to raise the baby herself.

Duh! I just messed that one up entirely. Oh well. I guess then you're probably right, Dakota. This last episode just shows what you said, that Charlie cannot help raise Aaron because of the danger, perhaps from him.

Thanks for straightening me out!

I didn't think it'd ever be possible but I now officially hate Charlie. Oh, yeah, and Sawyer, too. Never in the entire history of my tv viewing career have I ever gone from love, love, loving a character to hating him/her, in a single episode no less! AND I hate the creators of "Lost" for making me STILL want to watch this show even though I have no real favorites any more....

I guess the fave title could go to Claire and Hurley....well, congrats to them!

I still love Sawyer; he effectively put Jack and Locke in their place! It can't get any better than that.

Did you see the look Ana-Lucia (her name being said sarcastically) gave Kate? I hope Kate stomps all over her and leaves her in a bloody heap next to the nearest tree.

Yes, that needed to be done. And it was LONG overdue. But poor innocent Sun!

Hee! That would be very awesome. But another reason I now hate Sawyer? He made me FEEL SORRY FOR ANA LUCIA!! What is THAT about?? Oh, I don't like that AT ALL.

Okay, have to say I am with Sayid on this one...the guy Henry Gale is definitely lying! Without a doubt.

Now the question is...Is he part of the same others that Mr. Friendly is with? Or someone else?

As Locke said "Everyone on the island is an other, just depends on who you are talking to". Sad to say, but I am tending to agree with Locke.

Also, if "Henry" did bury his wife, Sayid is correct, he would know the exact spot, how much dirt was shovelled etc.

Did anyone notice the look in Henry's eyes, when Jack saved him from Sayid? It was like a "You know I am lying, but cannot get me to admit it" look.

Also, I would love for the writers to do a back story on the Island itself, after all it is a character in the show.

I just watched this weeks episode and I was riveted to my TV. I have to admit that for me some of the latest eps have been a bit unsatisfying, maybe because I can't stand Ana Lucia or because I don't want to believe that Charlie might be using again.

This one made me feel like I did during the first season (possibly because a new character has been introduced, for however long that may be). It's also been a show that seems to have used very few of the cast members. Aside from the frog-hunting with Hurley and Sawyer, and a non-speaking scene with Jin, it was interesting to see how three strong characters with so many commonalities could spend an hour in such deep conflict.

Sayid is one complex cookie and it was nice to have his character further explored. It was also a kick to see Kate's dad make an appearance here as well - I love how entwined all the characters lives are without their even knowing it. Seeing Clancy Brown in this one was a real treat as well.

The only negative thing I could say is that I hate Sawyer for his lack of compassion for a little frog...

Alright, you. Get out of my head. Now!

This episode was fantastic! This, my friends, is why I fell in love with the show in the first place. So. Good.

A few things:
1.) Clancy Brown? Was in Pet Sematary 2? 'Cause if so? Cree.Pee.

2.) OK, I'll forgive myself for crying during the scene where Sayid tells the possible Other that if he had buried his wife he would KNOW exactly where and exactly how many shovels full. Because seriously? Heart-wrenching. But crying when Sawyer killed the frog? What is WRONG with me? (BUT in my defense I was tickled pink that Sawyer seemed to like the frog. I even said aloud to my sister, "Aw. He totally wants to keep it for a pet!" No sooner had I said the word "pet" he freakin' kills the thing with his BARE HANDS. Then cut to me gasping and trying not to cry because ONCE AGAIN I was tricked into liking Sawyer...EVEN THOUGH he indirectly hurt Sun...) What is WRONG with me??

3.) Ya know what, Hurley? You're right. Everyone DOES like you. I like you. A lot. Do I like Sawyer? NO. No one does. Because he called you Hammo, and he is a frog killer.

That is all.

I know for a fact that "Henry Gale" is lying. You want to know how I know? He gave a fake name. In case no one here realized it, "Henry Gale" is the name of Dorothy's uncle in "The Wizard Of Oz".

Also, his story about a hot air balloon is totally bogus. When he was first in the hatch and Jack or Sayid asked him how he arrived on the island, in the background behind Jack was a picture of a hot air balloon. The picture gave "Henry Gale" the cover story he needed.

I wonder if "Henry Gale" was following the Yellow Brick Road when he was snagged by Rousseau's trap.

There is a character on the show named John Locke, who was a real-life philospher. He also said his name was Heny Gale before he would have seen the picture of the baloon, and the Wizard of Oz flew away in a baloon at the end of the movie, so I don't think he made it up.

I always wondered about the John Locke aspect. I remember an episode entitled "Tabula Rasa" which is a concept created by John Locke the philosopher.

Yes, you are right that he said his name was Henry Gale before he saw the picture of the hot air balloon, but the picture gave him his cover story about how he arrived on the island.

Also, point of fact, in "The Wizard Of Oz", Professor Marvel arrived in Oz in a hot air balloon.

Also flew away. That's why Dorothy had to use the slippers, because she jumped out of the gondola to get Toto who was chasing a cat. The wizard flew away in the balloon without her because he didn't know how to control it.

In my opinion, it's the writers who chose the name, not the character. They have by their own admission used a lot of literary references in this story. As mentioned, John Locke is a philosopher (see Tabula Rasa which was also used as the name of an episode), as is Jean-Jacques Rousseau (the idea of the "noble savage", nature vs society, which rather fits with our Rousseau, I think. ). Jack "Shepard"s name was chosen because he is leading the flock. They've made reference to "Alice in Wonderland", and characters are frequently seen with books that are pertinent to the story although we may not get the reference until later if at all.

So I think that the name Henry Gale is a reference to the way that he said he arrived, not the other way around.

I take my "Lost" a bit too seriously, I think...

What other literary references have there been? Perhaps we could get a nice list and analyze.

There's Sawyer as in "Tom Sawyer", and baby Aaron could be referenced to "..and a child shall lead them".

That's a great idea! Wasn't one of the castaways reading "A Wrinkle In Time"? Which has lead to much speculation that perhaps they're "tessering"(is that the right word?) like Meg in the book. (Perhaps, also like Meg, to find their fathers? It's been noted that many of the castaways have daddy issues...)

I can't think of any more...

Is there a new episode this week?

I hope so. Things are becomming intersting again. I've thought that the last few episodes have not been as good as the ones early on in the season. But the Sayid episode was really good. I hope the US officer shows up again. Hey, maybe he's one of the Others.

I agree that he was quite an interesting element in that episode. (I've always liked him in everything I've seen him in. He'll always be 'Tweety' to me from the first "Bad Boys" film from the '80s) As for him being an 'Other' - THAT would be something! Just reading those words gave me chill AND a thrill! I never thought I'd hope to see an "Other" before - now that's good TV!!

To me, he'll always be The Kurgan. It would fit that he's an Other. Remember that Ana Lucia found a US army knife. Hopefully, he'll show up soon.
