I applaud Nick Park for putting on a brave face at having all that work destroyed, and agree that in the world context it is 'no big deal'. However, I find it very sad and I am particularly incensed at the manner in which I found out about it. A TV News 'Update' used the story - including footage of the fire - as the end-of-bulletin, light-hearted 'human interest' story. I am constantly amazed at people's lack of taste and compassion, and particularly at what the 'media' decides is 'important news'. Now, if there had been any Australian claymation models destroyed, that would be a totally different story...!

Yes! It was great how he put it all in perspective like that even though there must have been so much of his heart and soul in that place.

A very brave face, I bet he wept and cursed in private, I would have in his shoes.

Very clever person to create Wallace and Gromit, and everything else....I enjoy the films/ short features. In fact looking forward to seeing to new Wallace and Gromit film soon.
