Well I saw American Beauty last night, and it's certainly something you should see. It was one of the main attractions in the Toronto Film Festival this year, and is really something different.

It's about a couple of really screwed up families who live next door to each other, and the screwed up lives of the individuals. It has a lot of plot twists and is *entirely* unpredictable. The acting is pretty good too, and it's well filmed.

Maybe it isn't for everyone because it is a little stupid on some level, but if you like offbeat unconventional movies, give this one a shot. If you're sick of the boring traditional Hollywood storylines, go see it. It's new in theatres, so hopefully it's playing near you!

I watched this last night with my daughter. It definately was not what I expected it to be. I did not think it was a great movie as she did..but it really made me think..
