Greenpeace have been fined $7,000 for damaging a protected coral reef by running aground. They blamed the accident on outdated maps provided by the Philippines government.

Absolutely Sue, I nearly fell off my chair! I mean obviously it's not funny that the damage to the reef happened, but Greenpeace do tend to take themselves a little too seriously sometimes.

I qualify that with the statement that I generally support the aims of groups like Greenpeace, even if I don't always agree with their methods. Actually I've had some close friends who have both been on the payroll and proudly been arrested in 'actions' many times. Heck, I even applied for a job with them myself once! But you have to be able to laugh at yourself in this world...
