Just wondering. Why am I constantly told that you are not allowd to create a quiz where each question follows on, providing clues for the next question, when all the bonus trivia games in the Global Trivia Challange are exactly that? I am told that it is not possible in case your quiz gets selected for the daily quiz. Is this a case of one rule for one and another rule for another, or what?

It's more of a case of individual questions being chosen for any of the daily/hourly quizzes, ot the global challenge, not quizzes in their entirety.
Let's say I write a quiz that has as Q1 - Which actress starred in the movie "Miss Congeniality"? Answer Sandra Bullock, pretty straightforward (actually it's pretty boring, but it's just an example!).
Okay, Q2, What was her character's name in the movie?
This can be answered if you know that I'm talking about Sandra Bullock in "Miss Congeniality" because of the previous question. However if only Q2 is selected for one of the above quizzes, no one would have any idea what the question means.
This is why questions are not allowed to be linked.

Okay that seems fair enough. However, as an example. I did a quiz in the Bonus section of the Global Trivia Challange that was a code. All numbers represented letters and you had to work out the poem. If you just had question 2, you would not know what is going on because you needed to know the letters you identified in question 1.
Why is this allowed?

The major difference is that the quizzes selected for the Global Challenge bonus are all Fill In The Blank (FITB) format, as opposed to the more common Multiple Choice.

FITBs questions are never used in the actual Hourly/Daily quizzes.

The Global Challenge bonus was added just so these quizzes could get some play in the tournaments. They are, as you have noticed, a different format than the other tournament questions - the whole quiz is always given, as opposed to random questions from a variety of quizzes, as is the case with the other games.
When you look at the quiz creation guidelines for each category, before you create a quiz, you will see that different categories have different requirements. The requirements for Brain Teasers quizzes are quite different than those for, say, Music quizzes.

Most categories don't allow quizzes that consist of Fill-in-the-blank questions only. Brain Teasers does allow it, and the entire category is not used for the Daily and Hourly quizzes. The only way Brain Teaser quizzes are used for the Global Challenge is as the Brain Twist bonus game.

You're not really giving us much information. What category was your quiz in? And what is your Quizzyland name? There is no Sankdog on that part of the site.

By the way, some of my own quizzes in that section have popped up on the challenges and even though they've been taken time and time again and had corrections for things I hadn't thought of, they still get comments about how I might add this or that answer! Because the section probably only got people who were accustomed to this type of puzzle, the comments were different.

It's been a real lesson in how others think and I enjoyed it, but I'm wondering about writing any more!
