Honestly! A woman passenger was seen attempting to open a door on an aircraft, cigarettes and lighter in hand! This was on a flight from Hong Kong to Brisbane. Apparently flying made her nervous.

ROFLMAO this is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever heard about. Of course it's only funny because she was unsuccessful.
What on Earth was her husband doing, and why didn't he stop her?

Perhaps he was in the toilet having a fag! Translation for those who have just sprayed their keyboards with coffee - a fag is another word for a cigarette!

Wow! She got off quite lightly, too.

She got off very lightly indeed, a '$1,000 Good Behavior Bond' which she only has to pay if she commits another offense - in other words 'nothing'. I don't suppose the airline security staff who brought the charges were too pleased. Mix alcohol and sleeping pills and you can then get away with anything it seems!

It saddens me greatly that the person responsible for handing out punishment to this fool [maybe temporary fool but nethertheless] has let her off with something so close to being a nothing fine that others might be tempted to act in such a reckless manner without fear of punishment.

Stupidity isn`t against the law but stupid acts can be. She deserves much more punishment, like three months in jail or a ten thousand dollar fine as far as I`m concerned.

She should be very pleased that no-one slammed her down and hospitalized her.
