We've all been waxing philosophic about all the great films we've seen and who are our favorite actors.
What about the worst movies you've ever seen.
I mean films or storylines so bad, that you can never forget you saw it.

About 8 years ago, my wife and I went to see a film called "Jacob's Ladder". It was a thriller/scary type movie.
I watched the entire film trying to figure out what was going on, only to find out in the end that none of it happened. Talk about a waste of time. To this day I still regret having paid money to see that movie.
In fact, my wife and I now have an inside joke that whenever something turns out to be a waste of money, we call it "Jacob's Ladder".

I go to the cinema very often, and in all that time I have only walked out of one film because I thought it was that bad.
That film was "War of the Roses" with Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny De Vito.

It seems that the really good movies stick with you while your mind will jettison memories of the real stinkers to make room for more important things like the starting infield of the '55 Brooklyn Dodgers;-)

For whatever reason though, I remember going to a movie back in the 70's called Pocket Money. I remember that I went to it based on the fact that Lee Marvin was starring with Paul Newman and I figured that this would HAVE to be a good flick. WRONG! It was like the storyline never got started and before it did, it was over. I'm sure that the only reason it has stuck with me this long is because going in, I was just so sure that it was going to be a good movie and it turned out to be such a letdown.

I know that I've seen bad movies since then but on this Monday morning, their names are just not coming to mind.

Have a great week!

"Mouse Hunt" was the worst I have ever seen. I walked out on it.

Sypher, What??!! I love the "War of the Roses" I bought it and watch it a couple times a year. I also like "The Bill Chill", but I didn't like "The Mummy".

That Monkey one with Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. It was out a few years ago, can't quite remeber how many Monkeys were in the title. I just couldn't follow it , my Hubby thought it was ok. There are probaly more that I hated but I cant think of them. Thank goodness its only the good ones that stick in your mind.

I agree that "Mouse Hunt" was pretty bad. Another one that I particularly remember was "Harriet the Spy". Fortunately we were given free tickets, so it only cost us the price of concessions. (Only!!!) Unfortunately I had to sit through the whole thing because I was there with the 3 girls. It was only when it was over that I found out they didn't like it any more than I did.

War of the Roses was pretty bad. ...And that one with Michael Douglas where he gets pi$$ed off at the world and goes on a rampage. I didn't find that funny at all. But the WORST WORST WORST film I ever had to sit through (I'm sorry, I know this will make some enemies in this group) was Vertigo.
Blech. END already! It never did. It just went on and on and on and on and... you know.

"The Stuff"...i still take heat from my family for bringing that one home from Blockbuster.

The only movie I ever walked out on in the theater was that one with Billy Bob Thornton and Cuzak? called "Pushing Tin." Most Horrid.

LindaK29, I remember that flick with Michael Douglas. I believe it was called "Falling Down". Did nothing for me either. I can't tell you exactly when I left but I KNOW I didn't see the end of that one.
Not having actually seen these, I remember hearing that Waterworld and The Wild, Wild West were a couple of real stinkers.

What about that one a long time ago, where the parents of this one kid was going around eating all the neighbors and visitors? Does anyone remember the name of that movie?

Hey, don't mess with the rangers Sypher, or my 5 year old will "Go Gallactic" and whack you upside the head with a Quasar Sabre.

We now own the complete, entire Power Rangers vidoe collection.
My son can tell you what teens played what color ranger from any movie.
It could be worse, at least he's not into Pokemon.

Ugh, Pokemon, i forgot about that. Evil, evil. DO NOT let your kids get into that card game. Every penny they have will go to Wizards of the Coast, maker of Pokemon card game. I shudder at the thought of going to that movie. Just curious, anybody dragged by kids to see it?

Hey Derk, I was watching Good Morning America the other morning while I was getting ready for work. On this particular day, Joel Segal was rating movies, eight in all, and one of them was Pokemon.

He said that in all his years of rating movies he had never given out an "F" before; until then that is. Basically, he stated that the film contained "senseless violence" and that the WHOLE reason for the movie's existence was to "sell the product".

I think that on his official critic's scale, it fell somewhere below the level known as "The pits"

Nightbreed by Stephen King. Then there's Lawnmower Man, which even King had sense enough to remove his name from.

I try to avoid movies that I know are really bad.But some movies are soooo bad that they are funny.Anybody seen, "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes"?--what a hoot.

The worst movie I've seen recently

was "Beloved"--I thought it was plain awful, and I couldn't even watch it all the way through (and I will sit through almost anything, just as a test of my stamina).

Chelseabell, Thank you for your remark about "Beloved" I was going to rent that but I'll trust your judgement on that one. I will wait untill it comes out on T.V. now.

I must admit that I didn't care to much for the new movie that's out 'the Blair Witch...' I guess because of all the hype I went in expecting to be scared out of my pants, but instead I came out wanting to know if I could get my $6.50 back.

The worst movie I've seen lately was "The Thin Red Line" they tried to take the last minute of "Platoon" and make an entire movie out of it. The only person to put on a half way decient effort was Nick Nolte.
