I was wondering what the criteria is now for creating crosswords. On the crossword page it states that it is limited to experienced, good quiz makers. I have noticed, though, that some of the crossword authors have only 2 or 3 quizzes online. Am I right in thinking that you no longer need to have a large number of quizzes under your belt to create crosswords now?

The key here seems to be quality as opposed to quantity. Having checked on a couple of the crossword authors with only a few quizzes online, I found that those quizzes were of a high standard and required very little editing. This kind of work allowed those authors to qualify to make crosswords more quickly.
