OK I confess, the past week has seen me donning a fetching pair of pink fluffy bedsocks. It is only the earlier part of the night that my feet feel cold, I remove them during the night. Anyone else wear them, in pink or any other colour? Next week I will be visiting my daughter in th north of England so will be taking thermal vests in my suitcase!

During the past year I've noticed that I have been wearing my bedsocks to bed more and more. Even during the summer months my feet seem to get cold at night (couldn't be that my husband likes the room to be as cold as a meat locker!) I have a pair of navy blue ones, beige ones, and last week I bought a pair of lavender/purple ones.

I have to have my socks off to be able to sleep. Up until the point I get into bed, I have to have them on. Hubby teases me about my socks, because I have fluffy ones, sweater bootie type ones, cow socks, Monopoly socks.. anything cute and warm will do.

The only time I wear socks to bed is when I'm sick or the furnace is broken. I cannot stand having hot feet, and definitely cannot sleep if my feet are hot. I too have the window open all winter, and often compliment that with a fan blowing on me.

My Hubby use to tell me I had refrigerator feet. He accused me me of putting my feet in the freezer just to see him Jump when I planted my poor cold footsies in the middle of his bsck. I cant sleep if my feet are cold either but instead of wearing socks I plant them under my hubby's hip and in 20 seconds I am fast asleep. PF

I'm with Skunkee and JTJ, I can't sleep if I'm hot; especially if my feet are hot. I suffer now because my bedroom in my new house doesn't have a window that opens to the outside, instead it has a door to a sunroom. I die of heat in the summer and even with a fan blowing, I'll sweat. In the winter I block the furnace vent and I my bedroom feels like it's outdoors, but otherwise there's no way I could sleep. However, for some reason I find that there's a direct corrolation with your core body temperature and the temperature of your feet. For me it feels like if my feet are hot, the rest of my body feels hot, and if my feet are too cold, the rest of my body feels cold. Once my feet are warmed up, I feel warmer all around. But still, no socks... in particular black socks, which always feel to me like they are suffocating my feet.

Men suffer from cold tootsies but we're not supposed to let it matter and even be chivalrous when it comes to not planting them on our partners to warm then up! Well, I don't do that but have been known to fill a furry covered hot water bottle when the weather is cold. So I'm a softie ...but I am a warm-footed one . It's better than keeping my socks and trainers on.

Hmmm, I guess Lynda has to be grateful that you don't wear your wellies in bed. I hate hot feet too, I take the socks off once my feet have warmed up.

I can't sleep with socks on. I summer, I'm bare footed most of the time, but in winter my house gets chilly because it's old and drafty, and I wear socks to keep my feet warm. But as soon as I'm ready for bed, the socks come off. When I was in the hospital after my daughter was born, I wore big, thick, pink, furry Hello Kitty slippers my sis had gotten me. I rarely wore them because I just typically don't wear slippers, but they were the nicest things to walk in down the hospital halls! For the first few days after I got home, I wore them around the house, but since then I think I've only worn them once or twice. I'm really a bare foot kind of person, and socks feel more like bare feet than slippers.

Yes, I must admit to being a barefooted person, too. I constantly annoy my family by dashing out to run a quick errand in fairly brisk weather wearing flips of some kind -even though I have a jacket on. I can always tell when I'm coming down with a cold...my feet, which generally don't get chilly suddenly feel like they're freezing. Then it's time to pull out the hello kitty socks.[ though around here it's more likely "Aron Carter socks', or something even worse ]
