because I've just spent an hour wrecking the place trying to find this, I'm going to post it so I can always find it and maybe someone else can try it cause it is great!
12lb tomatoes
750ml brown vinegar
6oz salt
1 1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoon white pepper
4lb sugar
8 apples (or 6 depending how juicy the tomatoes are)
boil together 3 hours, process, allow to cool and bottle it.
Actually I think I did this before and someone asked if it was a pasta sauce - it's not

just great as a condiment but I have put it in a gravy and stews.
Anyone else have something I can use tomatoes with? I have heaps.
