It came out several years ago, but what'd y'all think about this one? I've seen it done on the stage and have read the book, and I have to say that Hopkins did an excellent CS Lewis. When that man cried, I was weeping. Watch how he touches Joy (Winger). You could honestly believe that the man had grown to love her as time went by. For anyone who knows Lewis' story, you know what the ending's going to be. But, that just breaks my heart each time I watch it. The honeymoon was so cute - Hopkins can be very funny. Oh, and when they go to the Golden Valley....... Wonderful.

Have you seen Hopkins' impressions? He does impressions of famous people - his Marlon Brando actually sounds _exactly_ like him - amazing!!!

Hey Linda1, I haven't seen Shadowlands but I know that there has been a number of times that I've come very close to picking it up in the video store. Although I'm not familar with the story, I'm a big Anthony Hopkins fan as well. I can't think of a movie that he's been in that has even been close to mediocre.

Once the weather takes a seasonal turn for the worst (and I don't think that will be too far off) I'll probably get caught up with my movie watching. I'll add that title to my "To Watch" list. Should come right after What Dreams May Come and The Thirteenth Floor.

Hi Linda, I just went to Blockbusters to rent this movie but, as usual they didn't have it. Soooooo, I picked up a sean connery one instead. Love him too!!
