For three days Arena is having a Will and Grace marathon. THREE DAYS!! I don't mind the show, will watch it if it's on but three days worth seems waaaaayyyyyyyyy over the top. I don't mind the little 12 hour ones but any more than that .... even the Seinfeld every episode ones get too much and I love the show.

What do you think of them?

TV marathons are ok. Although I could only handle there being three days of CSI:LV but any other show I like...No, i'd get sick of it altogether after watching it for that long. I like will and grace but wouldn't watch it for more than a few hours let alone three days. I'd never seen a station/network to show so much of one show, do they not have anything else for people to watch.

Some of them can be fun. TvLand has all-weekend marathons when they add a show to their roster. I don't mind a whole weekend of The Dick Van Dyke Show, but some of them I can live without. Green Acres, for example.
I got sucked into watching several hours of Gomer Pyle, USMC awhile back.

And for some reason I can sit and watch a whole Real World marathon on MTV whereas I can't stand watching it weekly.

Of course, you can't go wrong with a good Star Trek marathon. Especially movie marathon.

I got sucked into the Law and Order marathons on the USA network on Friday and Saturday. I took Friday off of work to get the house ready for my brother's arrival and ended up in front of the TV.

The Real World marathons used to get me too.

The Sci-Fi network's New Years Twilight Zone Marathon is a favorite of mine. Maybe I'm just old and lame now, but I far prefer sitting at home with some good friends and a bottle (or two) of bubbly, some munchies and the ol' Rod Serling on New Years Eve instead of trying to party hop.

I was in seventh heaven when TV Land had "What's Happening" on for 48 hours. I haven't seen some of those episodes in years!

German television doesn't really do any marathons, so I have private X-Files marathon once in a while.
