Has anyone seen The Talented Mr. Ripley yet? If so, you could you tell if it is as good as it sounds? Thanks

No, I haven't seen "Ripley" yet, but I have seen the 1st version of the Highsmith triller on video: "Plein Soleil" or "Purple Noon", as it's called in English. Rene Clement("Forbidden Games") directed Alain Delon in this version filmed on the French Riviera. A very stylish film. (And if you haven't already, treat yourself to Alfred Hitchcock's classic film of Highsmith's 1st novel, "Strangers On A Train". I have the book and movie both!)

Terry, I have seen "Strangers On A Train" numerous times. I will watch any Alfred Hitchcock movie as often as they are aired. I never seem to get tired of his movies. You know you made me think that I bet the people who haven't seen that movie might not know that "Throw Mama From The Train" was a parody of "Strangers On A Train."
