The Jodie Foster one. Good? Bad? Anyone see it and can comment?

The argument that I keep hearing about this movie is "How can anyone compete with the first one? I mean Yul Brenner....!" However, what most people are forgetting is that the Yul Brenner musical was a remake itself! There was at least one other before that - the Rex Harrison version. Not a musical, but very interesting to watch. It really gave a different light to the king.

I haven't seen it Linda, but here isn't much that Jodi has done as an adult that I haven't enjoyed. I think she is a talented actress.

I have not seen it either,
but i think Jodie Foster will act the part so much better than the other 2 actress..She is a very talented actress.

Amazing she was the third person they ask to play the part,
the English actress's did not want to do it..

I am so looking forward to seeing this movie Linda. They are just now advertising it here. Well, at least I just saw the advertisement. I am definately going to go and see it.

Saw it, loved it.

I knew that Jodie Foster would be wonderful, but I was really looking forward to seeing ...oh, darn...what's his name?...Chow Yun Fat? Sorry, I'm terrible with names....Anyway, I was really looking forward to seeing how the king was portrayed. Yun Fat has been in several foreign films I've seen and I thought he was wonderful in them and I was so happy to see that he's finally gotten a "serious" part in an American film. (He's been in a few American films before but they were not films that could really show his acting ability, in my opinion.)

I enjoyed the movie very much and I would recommend it to everyone... but it wasn't so good I'd go see it again and again.
