sue you are wonderful!
consider that last exclamation mark to be multiplied ad infinitum.
you have surely gone enormously above what one might expect and i am deeply appreciative.

ren33 hi
i laughed and laughed when i read your post; it was really quite amusing.
i can laugh about it all now that it finally happened.
i have been a member of funtrivia since 2003 but i have not been able to get on the boards for some time.
that i can is due to elskede who was concerned enough about me to suggest asking sue for help and by golly help is exactly what she did (even going to the most extraordinary lengths to enable me to get here. brava sue!
exactly how i got here must remain a top secret (just kidding, i think)

Lets all guess how Dr Bob got in here. Prize for the most imaginative, chaps!
I think he got his mates to drag a vaulting horse into Quizzyland and then tunnelled his way in hiding under it. Sue was the one who dragged away all the spare earth and rubble in her underwear (it is large enough, lol!)
(edited to say the prize is a date with Sue/ second prize : two dates with Sue Hahaha!!!)

Dr Bob don't worry about her, she is suffering from jetlag having just travelled back from England to Hong Kong - the snow has affected her.

I actually moved to the Bay Area back in August. I used to live more up north and I went to school at Chico State. I moved here for a job, and I guess I should clarify that I actually live more in the East Bay Area.

hi again alien goddess
come to think of it, i went to humboldt state extension for 6 semester hours at miranda, had been teaching at garberville elem. sch. 5th grade and a special class in science for gifted 6th graders this was back in the 70s. one of my students in the gifted program had a father (M.D.) who had a great pyrennes (can never remember how to spell that)dog. i fell instantly in love with the dog and resolved when i had a home of own to have one of my own and later on i did or rather he (zeus a good name for this noble dog) had me.

hi copago and kstew. that ren is quite a jokester!
kstew were you the one who is commercial painter or did i make that up. my wife (divorced and unfortunately now deceased) had two bachelors in art and one masters of fine arts (in painting). the year before she died, her work was showcased in the brochure for the olympia wa "art walk."
i have one of my players (attalus) who does really interesting art work. he has a web site. his is one interesting family. he is also a laid back super excellent player.

Yes, that would be me, DrBob. Former greeting card artist and illustrator, now busy rendering murals in upscale neighbourhoods. Not glamorous, but an honest living [ if you'd like to call it that]

Welcome DrBob. your 'peacelovejoy' signatures are very well known elsewhere in funtrivia, and I'm sure you'll be an active and interesting contributor to the forums.

hi aramis and thanks (i think) about the peacelovejoy signature being well known elsewhere. i am trying to think where that could be other than my team's message board and occasionaly notes to other team leaders or prospective hopefuls for my team.
anyway, judging by the next line, i know that it all is meant well and i don't really want to be too picky.
that was my first use of the quote and i am not sure how to cut the amount of quote down to what i really wanted it to be.
i would love to see a place where team leaders can go and share fun stuff and ideas for this and that, i got some great ideas from joliettes--the team i most admire other than my own, well the quiz folks and that waggettes one and my old team the mermbuts with my good friend clipperraider. sorry i started that, oh well. cest la vie.

drbob
ps, in case i haven't wished you personally happy new year i will now--happy new year to you and yours!

Welcome Dr Bob, I'm a few days late but glad you've made it in here after what was clearly a tough route!
