I'll start off by saying that I live in Uruguay and sometimes movies don't get here as fast as we would like them to and sometimes they don't arrive at all.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I was in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and I had the chance to watch a film called Pi (not written with letters but with the math symbol.
In the final credits I saw that the film dates back to 1997, and although I thought it was a great movie (low budget and all) I had never heard of it before.
Has anyone here seen this film? If so, what do you think of it?
In my opinion it poses several interesting questions. Anyone interested in discussing them?

You must be the first person I know who has seen the film PI.
I own the film on video...and had to watch it several times just to get my head round this Chaos theory / pattern / number. (Y'know what I mean)

Was the film in english when you saw it ?

Yes Sypher, the film was in English with subtitles in Spanish.
I also watched it twice, and then I bought the book with the script and the soundtrack CD. That was because there was no video version around.
So, tell me, what do you think of the ending?
My husband and I at first didn't agry at first on the our interpretations, but then we did.
Do you think Max was the pure, chosen one?
Or was ir all madness?

I don't know about the chosen one....maybe gifted. But if I drilled a hole in my head...I would presume that I would die. So for him to be normal after an incident like that is a bit hard to chew.

I think you would have to be mad to look at all those numbers for soo long. Now I am talking about it, I think I will have to watch the film again...only problem is that I lent it to a friend and I won't be getting it back till Monday. Damn !!
