In your opinion, what is the best movie hero or heroine, and why? What is it about the character that makes them memorable?

Personally, Indiana Jones is one of my favourites. Despite being a suave action hero, at times he can be a bumbling baffoon, and the character being a perfect mix of the two is quite endearing. Also, he is just your average Joe Archaeologist, not some superhuman dynamo that can't be killed. Heroes with weaknesses (eg. fear of snakes) are the most memorable. The fact that they can overcome their weaknesses and sve the day is what makes them a hero. Indy does this in fashion every time.

Other favourites of mine are: Neo from the Matrix (he kicks serious bum), Brandon Lee's character from the Crow (very tragic individual), and Hudson Hawk (what a clown!). I can't think of any others right now, because my brain needs sleep.

How about the kid..from 'The Karate Kid'...just some new kid in town trying to get along and just wanting to fit in.

I would also have to say Indy as a favorite hero alongside Han Solo...pirate, scoundrel, charming and full of charisma..
