Vin - in the movie "The Magnificant Seven".
Partly because of the cool that Steve McQueen brought to the role...but also the way he was written. Quiet dignity, a sense of humor, a "commoner philosopher" with uncommon insight.Quick of gun and quicker of wit. Equally deadly with both.

"He said: it seemed like a good idea at the time".

Gregory Peck as Atticus in To Kill A Mockingbird (or G.P. in Gentleman's Agreement or pretty much all of his films). Peck conveys such deep down decency, integrity, intelligence and sensitivity---he comes pretty close to being my ideal man.

Peter Sellers as Inspector Clusot--Just love that guy!
