no way, using the www and a search engine is using your brains!

craig, the only rules in this place that I know of are you play the ball and not the man, no swearing, and no vulgarity

... now your qustion, I remember reading about an awards ceremony that was postponed from April 8th to to April 10th ... was it 1971? I'll check this one when I get home, it'll be quicker than a search engine

cheers mate

What's the next question?

Can I ask one again, if things are up for grabs (if I'm overlooking the next question, just let me know)?

In the final scene of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Ed Earl carries Miss Mona back up to the house. But, something unexpected happened during filming of this scene. What?

Since no one got it, I'll go ahead and answer - Burt got a hernia from carrying Dolly up to the house. I wonder why!

Ok, how about another Oz question (they're my favorite!):

The Tin Man was not always made of tin. He was once a real man. How did he come to be made of tin?

The tin man was originally a real woodman, who loved a Munchkin girl. The girl's mother was opposed, and bartered with the Wicked Witch of the East to cast a spell on his axe. While chopping wood, his axe kept slipping and lopping off parts of his body, which he conveniently had replaced by the local tinsmith. Finally, he chopped right thru his body, and the tinsmith made the woodsman a tin torso, which unfortunately lacked a heart.

Kind of gruesome, really!

OK, next question. On what real college was the fictional Faber College from the movie Animal House based? And for extra credit, on what college was Emily Dickinson College, from the same movie, based?

Good going Bagpipes! Dartmouth it was. But no extra credit, sorry. Emily Dickinson College was based on Mount Holyoke College. Dickinson went to MHC for 1 year. And there was a longstanding roadtrip tradition between Mt. Holyoke and Dartmouth.

No one has answered, so I give it to you:

Herb Alpert

I'll ask an easier one - One person was not allowed to attend the premiere of Gone With the Wind. Who and why?

Shopgirl and NY152 (That was on again 2 nights ago - wasn't it as wonderful as ever?!)

To keep with that same theme (since "You've Got Mail" was based on the earlier "Shop Around the Corner" with Jimmy Stewart and "In the Good Old Summertime" with Judy Garland)

What are the names of the shops in both of the above named older movies?
